6th Gen Battle maison frustrations

So today I lost my battle maison super singles streak....
I was doing the truant durant trick and the opponent sends out a frosslass(first poke)I switch to Aegislash to kill it but of course it had focus sash.It killed my aegislash.I proceed to kill it with durant.He sends out exegutor,I switch to Dragonite.TRICK ROOM and then explosion.And of course the final pokemon is fairy type Gardevoire which traces Dragonite's multiscale.Trick room was on so even though my durant survived a hit from it it was slower.Got hit by Gardevoir's focus blast(but whenever I try focus blast it misses at least once before it hits) and Multiscale allows Gardevoir to take a hit from my Dragonite and kills me...Never bothering with the maison again.

I remember a time when I lost my "close to the second encounter with whatever her name was" in Super Singles where I lost because of an ultra stally Vespiquen (no joke, this thing was just plain annoying. I remember it had no actual offensive moves. Nothing but Toxic and other stall moves). This just goes to show you that running hyper offense doesn't always work in the Battle Maison.

I ended up losing my copy of Y at some point after that. Eventually, I'll try again on OR/AS, but I have too many other games to beat that I've been slacking on to do it. One day, though, and with 101% more hyper offense.
