Battle Pokemon without registering in Pokedex?

I'm wondering if you can do this? Example (made up) context: You want to battle a unique boss that is a Geodude flipping you off and has double attack and HP to a regular Geodude. Obviously this Geodude will be classed as a new, inserted Pokemon.

Is there a way to make it so that when you battle this unique Pokemon, they either won't show up in your Pokedex, or your Pokedex will register a regular Geodude in your Pokedex? Obviously it would be pretty sloppy having random bosses in your Pokedex.
