I know this game doesn't have as big of repute in America, but I'm wondering if anyone's heard of or played Battle Spirits. I tried it out at Gen Con last year and liked it, and ended up picking it up. Unfortunately, no one sells it wherever I go, so ya >>

The cards are set into 3 types: Spirit, Spell, and Nexus. Spirits being effectively creatures/monsters, Spells being sorceries/spell cards, and Nexuses being enchantments/continuous. The "mana" in this system is through "cores" and continuously gaining one every turn. The game system also has a cost reduction method for cards of the same color. There are 6 colors released so far: Red [Destruction], White [Stall], Green [Core Generation & Power], Purple, [Core Manipulation], Blue [Normal Spirits & Milling], and Yellow [I don't know myself, sorry XD It has a theme of fairy tales, and most have abilities dealing with certain cards within the set. I guess it could be "Combo"?]

Yellow says it's good with recycling spells as well as teaming up with other colors.

The concept sounds really cool, but I feel that the game is a bit more complex than it need be. If the cards weren't so cluttered and the design was more streamline, maybe I'd like it more. I don't really like the spirit artwork either :P

edit eyyy, I just found an NDS game for it.

Hmm...it sounds familiar but I can't really recall though. Sounds...unique...to say the least :|.
