Battlefield: Bad Company 2

    This is for discussion of Battlefield Bad Company 2, a game for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. I know the demo is out for the Xbox 360, but I do not know for the PS3. Now released, for those of you that do have it, don't spoil the campaign, but feel free to talk about the multiplayer.

    I'll have to get the demo on Sunday, but I'm pretty excited for this game. I loved the first one, especially the characters, so I'm hoping they're just as funny as they were. Although I heard this one is supposed to be serious.
     
    Yes, it's much more mature in this one seemingly. Although I do hope for some comedic things from campaign as well.

    The multiplayer is great, and I got used to it really quick. And being a chopper gunner with someone who knows how to fly is amazing.

    There's only 2 ranks and 1 gun unlock for each class however, and a shotgun that can be used with any class. Also, there's a secondary vehicle weapon specialty that you can unlock, which is awesome.
     
    I was watching a review of the demo on Youtube yesterday, and the guy was absolutely hating it. I didn't like the first one much at all, so I doubt I'll be getting this one. I didn't like that it took a full clip to kill someone in MP and it all just seemed clunky.

    It definitely feels clunky. Apart from that though, I found the demo pretty fun. It is however ridiculous how you have to empty a clip to kill someone.
     
    That could just be a demo thing. They could easily fix that for the actual game if enough people complain about it. I've yet to play it though, so it could annoy me too. XD

    But I think everyone's getting sick of the glitches and stuff from MW2 so if the game gets good enough reviews, they'll have a decent fanbase swapping to BC2.

    I know one guy on YouTube that I always watch has been an avid MW2 player since it came out, but even he is sick of the glitching and he's probably going to make a swap to BC2 just to try something fresh.
     
    I'm too used to the fast paced, run and gun of Modern Warfare 2 to ever get into this. I decided to give the demo another shot this morning and literally could not escape the snipers. With so much grassy area, a huge map, and camouflage, the sniper class will dominate in this game. Thank god you can't go prone, or else it will be literally impossible to spot them.

    why isn't there a demo for the ps3 too? yeah I have a 360 too but i'm not a big fan of it and i didnt renew my live, nor do i like that sony and microsoft are competing if they would work together the gameing experience would be even greater... Besides microsoft rips ppl off, having to buy everything from them to interact online is just annoying and a huge ripoff not to mention selfish... But i liked the 1st one and i no doubt will love this one. I just wish i could get my hands on that frostbite engine...

    This game focuses more on tatics, snipers are good but my m4 can always beat a sniper. To get close you have a friend drive a tank get inside and get out then your near.... Or you can just launch mortars yeah you'll be firing blind without a spotter but if you get close they no doubt will panic and move then you pick them off, try playing this with a friend and test out different tatics you can use you'll find it quite fun there are many ways to advance on the snipers position just think WWSFD(What Would Special Forces Do)Or WWSD(What would soldiers do)

    FYI i'm LV 45, 5th pristege MW2 and i'm tired of the crap i gotta deal with so i'm switching

    I just finished playing about an hour or more of the demo...gotta say, I just love it. It's already better than MW2 to me (I was just so burnt out on it). I was even ignoring my K/D ratio, which was exactly my problem in MW2 also. XD

    But I just love the checkpoints and constantly changing environments. I was able to destroy four of the sites by myself because there were just so many walls blocking the enemy from seeing me, but around the fifth and sixth, they started adapting to my specific strategy and it got a bit tougher. XD It's just so great.

    Downloading the MP demo on PS3 right now.
    I've seen some gameplay and it looks so damn sexy.
     
    Just played the MP demo for a couple hours.
    I was quite surprised.
    The game is very enjoyable, and I probably will pick it up in March.
    I've been playing with the recon kit, and I've realised how much this game requires you to go for headshots.
    This game will be brilliant for improving my sniper game, that's for sure.

    Only thing I dislike about the helis is the transport chopper, reminds me too much of BF:Vietnam, and I'm a half-decent heli pilot, so if you want to fly just yell at me and I'll work something out.
     
    I finally discovered how to spot enemies, it helps so much. Plus, it gives you 20 points for each enemy that you spotted that is killed.

    I didn't even notice this. That'd be nice. I think I've used the gunner before, but I tried flying the helicopter once. I killed three of my teammates because I can't fly it well. XD;

    Pretty excited for this still. Haven't played the demo since I got Mass Effect 2, but I am sure it's still as great as I have been thinking it is.
     
    Even though I have never played the first one, the second one is great. The game has lots of guns and the classes are somewhat interesting, especially the medic class' ability to use a defib to kill people. Theres only one thing I find annoying about the game and thats the default controls. Sure its decent but the knifing and crouching buttons just mess me up because im too used to the CoD controls. Besides that, from what I played on the demo was great and im sure BF:BC2 is going to be a great game.
     
    I just watched about an hours worth of a multiplayer stream of the game, and I wasn't very impressed. It still seemed really clunky to me and just... not fun. If I get this game, it will be for the campaign and not the multiplayer.
     
    Dude the demo is way different than the actual game lol its rather fun when your playing not so much watching
