[Battle] Battles going black and not starting

    Hello

    In my current rom hack, I have made all of the maps and edits I want to, however one issue I have is that the battles are going black when they are due to begin and never actually opening. I can hear the music, but there is a black screen and the battle never actually commences.
    I assume its something to do with a mangled script somewhere? Can anyone advise on a fix or something I can do to ammend this please
