    ... Have you ever battled one of your friends through wi-fi, etc, and realized that they weren't very good at battling so you went easy on them and even let yourself lose so as to not hurt their feelings? But in the end, they just end up going on an ANNOYING ego trip, and you want to fight them again so you can kick their butts. You know, so they know they aren't that great... but they make up an excuse to not battle again anyway... This seems to happen to me a LOT. I don't even consider myself to be a genius at this. >_>;

    well i DO relize how my friends suck at battling but that doesnt mean that id go easy on them (ok maybe i go a little easy on em but not to the point that id lose)

    I never battle pokemon on wifi, but I am familiar with this phenomenon in other competitive games, namely SSBB. >_>

    A bunch of people tell me that. I haven't gone on wifi in SSBB yet, though... is it really THAT bad? xD

    I go all out all the time on my friends. They are not that great and I tell them hey if you want to get better watch what I am doing. I try to help them along the way to help make them better in turn to help make me better

    I battle my brother sometimes, however, he likes me to be on his side usually since I'm a lot better. I never go easy, though. I don't like losing the game I'm best at. He doesn't mind losing, though. Most of the time he asks me how I plan everything. It's like he battles me and loses for his amusement.

    I never go easy on anyone. That's how we DarkRims' do it. >:[
    Me and my friends love competing, and I would feel insulted if I found out any of them were going easy on me, and I think that they would feel likewise. I don't wi-fi battle, but I know what this is like from my Xbox Live days. Also, there is nothing wrong with a cocky attitude, if you lose, you should hear about it and use it to propel yourself to improve for next time.

    Yes. Well not in pokemon but in another gamne.

    I think that this is the most useful reply on here... maybe I should start doing that?
    Thanks to everyone that replied, I feel better about this now that I know I'm not the only one. xD Sad to hear that it also happens in other games.
