    Hey guys.
In my LG game, Ive been busy training my Sneasel. It learned the so-famous-in-TCG-Sneasel's-Beat-Up-attack.

    Now , The attack S*KCS! I thought that with STAB the attack (10 damegexnmbr of pokes + STAB= 10 x 6 + STAB= 15 (or sumthing)x 6 = 90 dmg) would deal a good 90 damage, but even in a psychic, it deals real poor damage!!

I know, don't ask me why. Maybe there is no stab for that one, but it seems weak even for being 60 power.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't each Pokemon's attack during Beat Up fire off it's own Attack stat?

So 5 Blisseys attacking through Beat Up would be totally useless.

I thought you were supposed to use it consecutivuly????

You mean like that attack in GSC? I forgot its like Fury Cutter. i don't really remember.

They make alot of moves suck on the game, take Firespin for example,it does 100 damage on the card, but does at least do that much on the game heck no,i hate when they do that it really Irks me.

Beat up is an interesting move. When you use it, all the pokemon in your party get to attack, even tought they are not in battle.

Ive heard (though I'm not positive) that each pokemon hits with a typeless special attack with a power of 10.

Regardless, the majority of the damage is calculated by the stats of the five pokemon not in battle.

Yeah, Beat Up works off the Base Attack stats of the reserve Pokemon, as well as your active Pokemon. It's up to 6 attacks at 10 base damage. While that doesn't seem like much, bear in mind you have at most 6 attacks, which is more than what other multiple-hit moves like Fury Swipes can pull off.

Beat Up is most effective if your entire party is made up of physical sweepers, or at least Pokemon with high to average attack stats. However, the more Pokemon you lose, the less effective Beat Up becomes. So, it's not a move you can generally rely on, but it's an interesting idea.

Would ALL the damage get STAB? Or would only the 10-base from the first pokemon get the STAB?

Also, would all the damage score a super-effective hit vs. types weak to dark? Or just the first 10-base damage?

I believe all the attacks are typeless (like the damage from Doom Desire and Future Sight), so no they won't get STAB.

Seeing as the GameBoy games came before the cards, it'd probably be more accurate to say "the TCG made Fire Spin better."

Fire Spin does have it's uses though, you can trap your foes, preventing them from switching. Ok, the damage isn't huge, but unlike Mean Look at least you're damaging them as well.
