Lovely ending indeed. I know there's post game to do, but can you play the game out of the unova region?

No you can't and here are some things to do:

Complete your Pokedex
Beat the Battle subway
Get all 100 Musical Items
Get all of the Entralink Powers

In addition to what TG said, you can explore the region thoroughly, defeat Alder, raise a powerful team for Wi-fi...

The games are pretty much limited in post-game content, but hey at least there are a few trainers to rebattle around the region (and you can also battle Cynthia, which wasn't mentioned, as well as someone from Game Freak who poses as a character in-game). Plus, you also can visit White Forest, where you can catch lots of different Pokemon! Oh yes, and also hunt down the sages, and catch legendaries you might not have caught before... and other than that just a few sidequests which don't really matter. To be honest though, this seems more like a quick question than anything. Either way, after you've done all that, maybe you can post in the thread discussing what you'd change about post-game and mention whether you felt the post-game was fufilling to you, or if it needed major improvements.
