Beijing Olympics

I think they'll have to have, like, 3 aeroplanes to get the Americans back safely XD. 110 medals plus the team would bring the plane down XD!

Yes, it was a fact that the Americans where 3rd and 4th wth the Chinese at 1st and 2nd. I hope the Americans appeal for those gold medals. I hope they get more golds!

I really think they should. The whole point of the Olympics is you're meant to show how great your country is at sports without breaking guidelines. It's like us getting 11 year olds to do gymnastics! There's no point 'cause we wouldn't have won fair and square ><
 
Yeah, i know. I hope America do get their medals, anyway.

Michael Phelps was at the London 2012 concert thingy, i think he should've been at the closing ceremony!! I hope we have a good opening.. we have 4 years to work on it!

But in all honesty, I don't believe in England at all. I think we'll come out with something either really naff or really bland -.-"
 
I still want the Americans to get those golds. They might just scrape top spot (but i doubt it).. like that link said, i think the Chinese are the most nicest people in the world. I just thought that they weren't honest with their opening ceremony.. and the underage athletes. But oh well, it was a good Olympics!

LOL! That was so funny. The flag wouldn't flap properly and me and my family were just laughing.

Anyway, can't wait for Winter Olympics; the last time I watched it, it was so cool. I woke up quite early and watched them doing like a skiing marathon.
 
Wow the US won 110 metals? That is totally awesome! They did great out there! I am really proud of our country. ^^ And the other countries did great too. Everyone did their best, and I bet they had fun.
 
Brazil, Korea and Argentina were my supporting groups, but only one makes a huge improvement, Its great seeing them work so hard and getting great feedback on everything they do...
 
I find it amusing that the two worst songs (or singers) involved the pop stars from China and London. It just didn't fit with the rest of the ceremony AND they were terrible. I hope London doesn't ruin their opening ceremonies by having a huge load of rock songs. I love rock, but they usually lame it up for big events. =\
 
End...

This was basically China's going out party...Nothing much has changed...Just as I heard in NPR...people say "It's Great..." "exciting..." etc... The Opening and Ending ceremonies WERE fabulous since they had the resources and manpower to do it...but only history will say whether all of this has any impact in the World...
 
Yeah, you're right. The opening and closing ceremony had so many people in it, it was extrodinary.

Going back to the opening, who loved the drumming countdown? It was fantastic, Great Britain are NEVER going to top a countdown like that.
 
We could play, 'The Final Countdown' - Europe, for some laughs XD
I guarantee I'll just groan at everything 2012 puts forward :3
 
Yes, we all know it's going to be MEGA naff! It's a shame the London Olympics is the one after Beijing, as they have set the bar as high as their space stations XD.
 
To be honest i didn't even watch the closing ceremony XD
Anyways, the Us had to many people,they had hundreds of Athletes XD You would expect them to win,after all they were the largest.. Australia was second largest with 400 and something i can't remember =D ,so how many medals did AU get? I didn't watch the last bit of the Olympics but i did watch all of the karate.
 
It was a what the hell moment when a red bus arrived.. they have a massive flame in their stadium, we have a red bus!?! 2012 is going to be fun XD.
 
I didn't watch it either, China cheated so they don't deserve to credit of being number 1. Steroids, fake ceremony, underage athletes. WHAT NEXT CHINA? YOU FRIGGING CHEATERS!!!!
 
Did you hear about that Taekwondo dude from Iran? The VM of Iran offered him an Island if he won. Which he did so he got a Gold Medal and an Island. Iran are way too rich!
