Best anime season (total 17)

Most debatable yet curious question that has been repeatedly asked in different forums whose option list always grows with time needs a peek-in again.

Hey rom hunter, I know that this is a poll related to Pokemon, but since this deals exclusively with the anime, I'm going to move this over to the Pokemon Anime forum for you.

As for myself, I had to go with the first three seasons (going with 1, 3 and 2 in that order), as those are the fondest memories that I have of the anime. I've watched at least parts of the show up to season 8 and episodes here and there since then, but not enough that I can vote for them as one of my favorites.

My personal favorite would be Advanced Generation series, which would be seasons 6 to 8. I used to be very addicted to the anime back then, and regardless of what it took, I would never miss a single episode; I'd wake up very early every Saturday morning just so I could tune into Kids' WB and watch. =) It was very fun, and if I were ever given a chance to go back to that point in time, I would accept it in a heartbeat; no doubt.

Second favorite is original series, because, well, it's what I started off Pokémon with. As for least favorite, I'd say Black & White. It had humor and whatnot, but enough, and that sort of ruined it for me.

I voted for Seasons 3-13, because those were the seasons that I watched the most, so I have a special connection with them. :) If I had to pick between the Johto, Hoenn or Sinnoh arc - I'd pick the Hoenn arc because it entertained me the most and I loved the introduction of contests, although I found Sinnoh's contests more entertaining.

I understand how you feel. I feel the same about first two seasons. It was love-at-first-sight for pokemon when I first saw SE1 Episode 2. I had missed the first episode. I was not able watch pokemon continuously after season 2 onward and Master Quest was as far as I could go (academic reasons). Now I've downloaded the series (upto SE8 Advanced Battle) and began watching from the start (right now on SE7 EP334). I was thinking of downloading Pearl & Diamond episodes but is it worth watching?

I loooved Advanced and Advanced Challenge. Can't really choose between them.

I loved all the interactions between Brock, Misty and Ash in the originals but I've been watching Season 6 lately and I feel like it's definitely up there with being one of my favourites :)
