Best Defensive Pokemon?

Cradily with recover, barrier, amnesia, and toxic can work, but it's risky in case you end up against something steel or poison but once you get full buffs you should be just about invincible. It also takes 6 or so turns to kill something, and you need to bring ethers and elixirs. Other than that, Umbreons and Blisseys are amazing with or without buffs, and can probably kill faster. My friend had a Clefable that had Moonlight, cosmic power, psychic and double edge. It's useless against Spiritomb because he's immune to both attacks, but fully buffed it can live forever and its damage output is better than any of the other tanks I mentioned.

Haven't checked if Sludge Bomb is physical or special yet, so I might switch that out for another move.
Sludge Bomb is special.__

Stat wise it would be Shukle but it has very low HP.

We already said why Shuckle sucks. Besides, stats alone aren't everything. Most of it, yeah, but also about how those stats are distributed. A defender can't have such pitiful HP.

Cloyster

Well i know Cloyster, had the best defense
out all the original pokemon,
So Hes Probly atleast in the
top 6 for best defense right now,

But my favorite defensive pokemon
is Golem hes DA BOMB and my 4th favorite pokemon

Uhhh.... I think and to me, It's Shuckle(yeah over all but I hate 'em). Next is Bastiodon, Milotic and Tentacruel if Sp. Def. Then Steelix and Aggron if Def only

Blissey HAS to be the best defensive pokemon, dont you think?

It is definately blissey.it has to be.

???? It has a high hit point but not really defensive...

Yes it is. Thanks to her 255 base HP and 135 SDef, she can switch in on any Special attack and take almost nothing from it. Not to mention her excellent support movepool.

A defensive Pokemon isn't solely defined by its stats- typing and abilities make a huge difference. That's why Pokemon like Aggron, Bastiodon, and Golem are HORRIBLE walls (except in UU). All three have multiple 4x weaknesses (Golem is 4x weak to Water and Grass, while Bastiodon and Aggron are 4x weak to Fighting and Ground, two of the most common attack types in the game). Not to mention that Golem is completely overshadowed by Rhyperior, who boasts Solid Rock.

It also depends on how stats are distributed. A wall needs to have a balance between defenses and HP. For this reason, Pokes that have high defense/ low HP (or vice versa), such as Shuckle, Cloyster, and Wailord, suck.

Why do people AWLAYS focus on their weakest stat?

With Sp.Def like that, you'd be the fool for making her take physical moves.
