Best electric type

Electrivire. It's appearance is cool, it's speed may be slow, however it makes that up with strength. Plus I for myself, I like teaching it the elemental punches: Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch and along with Dynamic Punch.
 
I particularly like thunder-type Pokemons. They're useful in all the games, and most of them are amazing when it comes to battling. My interest in thunder-type Pokemons probably originated from Pokemon Yellow, where I raised my Pikachu to level 100. I use all sorts of thunder-type Pokemons during my gameplay.

My favorite thunder-types are Electivire, Jolteon, Pikachu, Emolga, Raikou, and Zebstrika.
 
Electivire is hardly slow, it has quite decent speed, plus it has balanced stats.

Only downside to such a good Pokemon is that you have to trade it to evolve then trade it back.
