Best old game to get?

For some reason the thread didn't show up, so here is my question again.

My daughter has Sapphire and Leaf Green for GBA, also Colosseum and XD for the Game Cube.( her bro has Fire Red for GBA). I went to a local used game dealer and saw alot of old pokemon games. I was wondering what are the best old games where she can get some of the pokemon that she is missing on her GBA games. She doesn't use codes or cheats to get pokemon from other games. She just wants to see some she has never seen. Thanks for anyone that can help!!

Not all Pokemon players are little kids like you, you know? =\

Crystal has the most features including the ability to choose from Boy or Girl characters, Pokemon animations, plus the Battle Tower. But Red and Blue are great for nostalgic purposes.

Actually, between the games she has, she can find pretty much all 386 pokémon. It'd be a moot point to buy older games just for her Pokédex completion as the older games cannot trade with the newer games.

Read his second to last sentence. It's not just about collecting Pokemon, it's about experiencing a different game. The old GBC games have some intangible quality to them that is absent from the newer versions.

Thanks for the help, I think I know about what to look for now. Aragornbird knows what I meant. She wants to see different things from different games. But I don't want to spend 200 or 300 hundred dollars trying to get every old game out there. I was just looking for one or two that have more differnt types of pokemon and different story lines. Her leafgreen and her brothers firered have just about the same story line. (Right?) Not really sure. That is what they said. I haven't played either. I have played the XD. That is a really cool game!

The old games don't cost that much now. You can go to Game Stop or EB games and find them all used for unbelievable prices. I think like 7 to 10 a piece.

I would say the best older versions to get would be Blue and Crystal. Blue doesn't have as much of a storyline as Yellow does, but because it is older it still has all the glitches. ^^ Crystal is the same as Silver and Gold, has all the same glitches, but has a really good extened storyline. Those are your best bets. Also if you don't want used games, I am pretty sure Amazon still sells them new because they are all classics.
