Question: best way to chat with PC members?

hi all,

i was wondering what you consider the best method of talking to ppl on pc. especially IM coz pms can take a while to reply to and also i have to manually refresh PC to see if i have new notifications unlike facebook :(

here's the methods i know about atm:

1. Chit chat threads on each forum?
2. the PC chatroom
3. Discord (tradecorner and rom hacking use a discord server :p)

if there's other methods please post them!

If you want live chat, Discord is the best option. There are a lot of people hanging out there.

Otherwise chit chat threads and just threads in general on the forums.

isn't the PC chatroom a live chat IM thing? or does no one use it? o.O

You can also send Visitor Messages, or VMs, to one person at a time. It's PC's built in version of casual 1-1 chit-chatting. Your messages show up on their profile and their messages show up on yours, but if you click View Conversation under a message, you will see all your messages in a line as if you had been chatting in IMs (but you'll still need to refresh, yea).

i already do that but it's not the same as IM. it's more like an email convo :p
