Beyblade

Oh ok, I get it.
Thanks for telling me ^_^

here's a Ray pic

Not exactly, I found the art in season 1 horrid. Color wise, it was closest to the manga but c'mon, they couldn't even give Dragoon and the other bit beasts their actualy color rather than with the glow? Also, the battles weren't that greatly animated.

2002 however, I really liked the chibi-look in as it somehow fit Beyblades overall theme (They have that chibi-fied feel in the manga anyway until Vol. 10 kinda) not only that but animation was overall more crisp and detailed. They made a few coloring mistakes that many can't get over like, Rei's eyes being brown rather than yellow and cat-like. (I think Kai's eye's were grayed rather than have that reddish tint it usual bares) As well as Max's hair color.

G-Revolutions desgins are pretty much the best overall and closest to true char colors. No real complaints there.

Well, yeah, season two did give it a better animation for the battling, but can't you just tell by looking at it that some of the noses and skin colours aren't well...really defined? Chinese people are supposed to be really fair skinned and Tyson looks a little red...Kai and Max look fine, but Max's eyes just don't look to good...

Yea, I mentioned that, the color pan for chararcters in 2002 were pretty off but were thankfully fixed come G-Revolution... The main problem in 2002's art concerning Rei/Ray was he's a neko-jin (human with cat features) and they really screwed his desgin to appear more "human"

I'd rather not go into overall colorings and looks of chars in general because in anime you're said to have a nationality but here you are with wild and natural green/silver/blue/purple hair and toning that makes the viewer say "Hey! That's not how a [insert nationality] looks like!"

Yes, that is true, but it's still a bit awkward that they wouldn't atleast make it a bit like real life. I understand it's a toon, but still.

^= Funny, many would think the same of Pokemon.

In anycase, Raiyna, you might have a point there. But if Beyblade looked a bit more realistic it would lose that beyblade edge. Most animes drawn to look real (like Blood+) are on terms a far darker and follow more a type of detail most shounens aren't really rated for.

So... This might be kinda late to ask but: In each Beyblade series does anyone have a favorite battle they'd like to point out?

Teehee, we did this earlier in my club. No worries. ^^ Mine would have to be the Tyson x Kai fight. It was drawn out, but it only made the best. The power they showed to the audiences (in the TV and out XD) was excrutiating. Like..I never thought I'd see something intense such as that on Beyblade....o.o;;;

That was the G-Revolution fight right?

Yeah, that was when G-Revo was going into a more Supernatural/Sci-fi feel making the series a bit more on the violence content. Which was what really caught my attention towards it. (I'm a huge Supernatural fan)

You should watch the JP version of Kai's first fight with Brooklyn and good deal more of other battles esp. during the BEGA arc.

I saw it in Japanese (found it on the internet)
the 1st and 2nd. It was horrible, yet exciting ^_^
My favorite would be Kai vs Tyson (bb1), Ray vs Mariah (season 1), Kai vs Tyson (Grev), Ray vs Kai (Grev)
