Birth of Legends (Rated PG-17)

Well, maybe Gasper was right about one thing: the Skarmory did have more than iron in her head. She was right, there was no way she could beat Gasper by herself. She would need help.
"Well, I hope that you're planning on leaving me out of this," the Monferno said. "I really didn't do anything wrong. But I should warn you: I can melt my way out of any cell you can put me in. Or burn my way out. And if Gasper finds me again..." Axel paused. "Well, these are dark times, so let's try not to think negatively?"
Axel didn't want to admit it, but maybe he was... scared. Why can't I just go home? he thought as Wingedge flew on.

Tolsa was hit by the powerful fire attack and went rolling along the ground. But it was going to take a lot more to stop him! He pushed himself to his feet with a scowl on his face. He looked at Topaz for a moment, suddenly thoughtful.

"Why are you fighting? What drives you Mountain Tribe members to always make war with us?" he asked suddenly. Knowing they were still in a fight, and that she would not stop attacking, even if she did answer, he rushed at her, his tail glowing silvery.

"Take this! Iron Tail!" Tolsa yelled as he leapt into the air, flipping at her, swinging his tail at her head.

~~~~~
Monart dropped the Pichu and used Protect. Both attacks were blocked by the shield. He smiled grimly as Rene howled in pain. For a moment, a sad, haunted look flickered on his face when he set eyes on Daisy, but no more. Anyone with a fine sense of Aura might have been able to see someone else's Aura inside of Monart, but it disappeared after a second and the expression faded.
"Stop! I am not the one that did this! It was him!" Monart said, allowing a note of worry creep into his voice. Rene groaned groggily but was unable to speak. He rolled over onto his side, breathing heavily.
"Bornis was already dead when I arrived. And when that Pichu attacked me... I admit, I made a mistake. I am not an enemy! This Flareon is! He's the leader of the enemies!" Monart said. Rene blinked as the world began losing it's focus.
"No... You lying bastard! I'll... I'll..." Rene began to say, but he fainted.
~~~~~

"Bornis? He's likely fighting your soldiers off. He'll be the one that's causing the most damage to your troops, you just wait and see! Now, I have to go. Stay safe! The Forest is not a safe place for any of us right now! And if you can, try and get your commander to call a cease fire until we can figure this out! I've got a Beautifly to electrocute!" Rala said. She charged off into the forest before Vivian even had time to answer. She was going to get to the bottom of this! The Supernatural Tribe wanted them to fight, but she didn't think it was in the best interest of the tribe. She dashed through the trees. If Vivian didn't do as asked, then all it would do was add one more soldier to the forces attacking her tribe. In other words, she lost nothing by chosing to trust this Lopunny. But if she was successful, then she might be able to prevent a war! This was the thought on her mind as she searched for Simone, or Braxis.

~~~~~
Brink ran through the woods. It suddenly occured to her that she had no idea where she was going.
"The Mountain Tribe attacks us, and you Sea Tribe vultures are already here!? DIE!" someone yelled at her. She turned and saw the speaker. It was a Weepinbell.
"Hey! I'm not here to... MuRK HELP!!" Brink said. She jumped back as a Vine Whip was aimed right at her head. She wasn't a fighter! This wasn't what she had in mind when she came up here! Still, she had to do something. Her pulse pounded as she fired an Ice Beam at her opponent, who simply moved out of the way. He opened fire at her with Bullet Seed.
~~~~~

"You can always jump off. The trees don't hurt much when you land on them. And we're low enough that you wouldn't sustain any serious injury," Razor suggested as she flew. She honestly didn't care about the Monferno on her back anymore. She had bigger fish to fry. She continued flying, awaiting his decision.

Daisy whimpered a bit after unleashing the attack feeling weak from using that much energy. If she tried another attack like that it could possibly kill her but she grew angrier looking at Rene shaking her head "I d-don't know" she whispered angrily when suddenly she felt someone grab her hand and say her name. Looking to her side she saw Geo looking so worried.

"G-Geo I'm sorry I ran off" she whispered to him "I had to see what was wrong" she added glaring towards Monart and then Rene. She didn't know who to believe but was feeling weaker and tired having stretched her Psychic limits and suddenly without knowing why she was on her knees crying.

He heard a voice say something up ahead muffled by the trees. Then he nearly recoiled as Brink's words pierced Murk's ears as clearly as if they were right next to each other.
"MuRK HELP!!!" She had yelled. Murk sprinted towards her voice. For an old froslass, Brink moved fast.
When Murk reached the scene, he was already out of breath. His eyes widened as he saw Brink dodge a vine whip of a weepinbell with a speedy jerk. She obviously didn't want to fight it. Murk stepped in front of Brink and stood in a battle stance. As quickly as he could, he summoned a brown whirlpool around himself.
"MUDDY WATER!!!" He shouted as the water gushed from the ground. Normally, it was easy to dodge the muddy gush, but here, all the water splashed against the trees, and a fair amount of it rebounded towards the Weepinbell.
The Weepinbell lay stunned on the ground. Before it could get up, however, Murk stepped on one of the leaves on its head. He spoke calmly and slowly.
"Listen here. We have no score to settle with your people. We do not want to fight. We advise that your people do not fight with us. We do not enjoy fighting, but we can harness the great power of the sea if we do. We advise that you stay away." Suddenly, a though occurred to him. "Unless, you would be so kind as to escort us to the column of smoke." He then realized that the sky was too obscured by the trees to see the smoke, but maybe the weepinbell knew what he was talking about. He turned to Brink for support.

Daisy...she's just concerned. War isn't fit for this world. She's weeping on her knees as Geo tries to comfort her. For some reason, he felt an Aura inside the Gallade when he looked at Daisy, but then it faded away. Something wasn't right.

Gallade started explaining the fight that was going on here. Geo looked at the grass body on the floor. A Grovyle named Bornis layed dead. Who killed him? It was either the Gallade or the Flareon. Gallade was saying Flareon killed Bornis, & Geo saw that the hurt Flareon fainted. Who did he have to believe? Did Flareon die? No! Not possible!

"I don't...believe you." Still holding Daisy, Geo spoke his answer to Gallade. Flareon couldn't have killed Bornis. Everyone was saying Geo was from the Mountain Tribe, & Flareon looked more of that tribe. Was Monart lieing?

Vivian listened to what Rala said and felt a bit deflated. /In/ the battle? She had this awful feeling in her stomach that she was going to have to do a long winded explanation. Or maybe she was just hungry. Perhaps a bit of both. Regardless, Rala ran off leaving her to deal with the request. Vivian turned and gazed off into the forest. Using her large ears she had already been aware of the sounds of distant cries within the forest. She had a vague guess that that was where the fighting was taking place. It was times like this that she wishes she had her father's natural talent for using aura. She would be hard pressed to detect someone right near her let alone over a distance. Frustration aside, she had other tools her father didn't necessarily have in turn. She was fast and her hearing extremely powerful. She could hear the mere snap of a twig from far outside her vision because of all the trees around. Battle cries? Please.

After a few moments Vivian would take off towards where she remembered hearing the loudest cries from. One had definitely sounded like someone was in pain. Or at least she thought it had. That separated it from say, a sparring match. She was moving quickly, not taking her time with this particular request. She didn't want to be here for an extended period of time. Though, she silently resented having to rush. She still remembered those that had thought that all she was good for was running and fleeing. The thought made her angry, but there was nothing she could do and so she calmed herself. Little did she know as she bounced along that she was headed straight towards a rather grim scene.

When she came to the scene, she vaguely heard someone talking, and heard a familiar voice call that someone a liar. Sure seemed like a lot of talk for a war. When she peered out from among the trees she spotted Monart, Rene, and she vaguely was aware of a pichu. Yet, her eyes were drawn to a fallen grovyle. Grovyle, huh? That was the species she was looking for. Could this really be the one though? He sure didn't look like he was kicking butt. Then again... Why would Rala have described him simply as a grovyle if there were a bunch of them? She moved closer, as there didn't seem to be a fight happening at that moment. To clarify, she moved to Boris and got down, checking him over. She was surprised to find he was dead. That sent warning lights off in her head. She was on guard for a fight to suddenly break out at any moment at that point. Without looking at any of the others she spoke up.

"What's going on here?"

Normally, she wouldn't speak during war, but until an attack was flown she didn't feel obligated to lay low. She was however very aware of the fainted Flareon from her tribe nearby. This had not escaped her for a moment.

Normally Riley would have been ticked. But he had bigger fish to fry and this lame-o copycat wasn't one of them. The Brick Break was nothing to be afraid of. He turned around, sticking his tongue out and biting the Ditto's paw. Without waiting to see if it hit, he bolted off, his ears twitching. He could hear Topaz moving around, her tail slapping the ground. He had to get to her now.

~~

Topaz didn't think, she moved, dodging the attack as someone else would dance. She stepped away from Tolsa, still moving to confuse him. Then she stopped abruptly, as though she had just processed his words. "Please don't ask things you know I will not understand," she told him softly, this look reproachful. "I fight because my master bids me to do so. If you believe we are simply bloodthirsty savages then I pity you." She whacked her tail on the earth as Riley scrambled from the hole she had made, climbing onto her back. "Besides," she hissed, suddenly furious. "You're an Elder. Aren't you supposed to have all the answers?" Topaz turned and walked away.

"I am going to find my master," she stated as she left. "Perhaps you should go and find your son. If your high and mighty intellect will recall, he's more important than your rage or petty titles."

Riley glared at Tolsa as they disappeared. When they were far enough away, he asked. "Why didn't you keep fighting?"

"Master told me to fight for him," she replied evenly. "Master has never told me to die for him."

Tom looked at the Gallade, curious at just what was going on. And of course all of his anger was still getting to him. "I don't know or care if you were the one to kill him or not." Tom forced himself to say calmly. "But I hate fighting, and I used that Whirlwind Orb just on anyone and everyone it could push back, just to try and stop the fighting." Tom sighed. "And the only reason I attacked was to protect myself." Tom said, calming down and picking up his bag. "And to top it all off, I have no clue why anyone is fighting. I was just trying to stop it. The way I see it, this fighting is pointless. And pointless fighting is what got my childhood friend killed." Tom tried to explain. Tom looked at the ground out of depression for his lost friend.

Riley had run off before Rard had a chance to even continue fighting. Rard was like walking repel or something. It seemed nobody wanted to fight him. Though he soon figured out the Topaz was retreating along with Riley. Rard climbed out of the hold and transformed back into his normal self. Topaz and Riley were already gone. He turned back to Tolsa nervously.

"e...erm..." he muttered.

"You can always jump off," Razor said. "The trees don't hurt much when you land on them. And we're low enough to the ground that you won't sustain serious injury." Axel chuckled weakly.

"And what if I try to take you with me? If I had the energy, that is." The Monferno looked back to wear he could still see the smoke of the burning forest. "I guess you have some kinda military plan?" he asked the Skarmory. "Well, if you want to go up to the Sea Tribe and accuse Gasper of burning down trees, then go right ahead. But Gasper'll try and deny whatever you say, and I'd think that the Ocean Tribe Council is bound to believe him over you. I mean, unless a Smeargle randomly Sketched the whole thing, what proof do you have?" Axel stretched his arms over his head. He could already feel his strength gradually returning. He had always been a quick healer. "Anywho, if you don't mind, I'll, uh, take off, then." With that, Axel flung himself from the Skarmory's back and fell towards the treetops. "Tell your forest friends that Axel says 'hi'!" he yelled.

The tree branches dug into Axel's skin as he fell to the forest floor. He hit the ground hard, sending pain up through his whole body. He winced, but got up anyways. He looked around, observing his surroundings, The forest was pretty dense in these parts, and it was nearly impossible to tell which way was north and which was south. No pokemon seemed to be anywhere in sight. After a bit of contemplation, he decided to go towards the burning forest. Not that Axel wanted to go there, or that he was hoping to find Gasper, but he knew that that spot was closer to the edge of the forest than where the Monferno stood now. With a tired sigh, Axel began his hike. He just hoped he could find some grub soon.

Monart smiled to himself as more and more Forest Tribe members showed up. He looked down at Geo, the Riolu with a slight scowl.

"Of course you would say that. You are from the Mountain Tribe, the same as this fool. Naturally, you would stand with your tribe, rather than remain neutral. You will always have the interests of your tribe before anything else, even your friend. Even if something were to happen to her, you would put your own tribe first," Monart said with an accusatory tone to the Riolu. Rene gave a weak growl and began stirring. Monart glanced at him, and ignored the Pichu for the moment. At that moment, a Mountain Tribe Lopunny showed up. She was very confused. Monart stood back as she went over to check Bornis. As she asked what was going on, he glared at her.

"Your commander killed Elder Bornis. So I should think you-" Monart began. Rene cut him off after a moment.

"I told you, that's a lie!" Rene growled weakly as Topaz and Riley showed up. Rene could hear the shouts from all his soldiers. They weren't shouts of victory. The mission had gone badly.

"Topaz, order a retreat! We have to pull back!" Rene said to the Charmeleon. He struggled to his feet, but Monart strode over and picked him up.

"You aren't going anywhere," Monart said irritatedly. Rene knew that already. He stared at Monart.

"Topaz. Riley. Vivian. All of you need to get out of here now. There is nothing you can do at the present time," Rene said calmly, knowing that Topaz would follow his orders. He wasn't quite sure that actually was the Lopunny's name, but he thought it was right.

~~~~~
Rala ran through the trees. She stopped and her ears twitched. She leapt back as a Solar Beam hit the dirt in front of her. Simone fluttered down and laughed. Rala got to her feet. She glared and blasted a Thunderbolt at her. Simone was blasted backwards into a tree.
"Simone! What the **** are you doing?!" Rala shouted out. Simone looked down.
"I know the secret! I will become a goddess! And then you will all know my power!" Rala said grandly. She then hit Rala with Giga Drain, but the attack didn't exactly do a whole lot to the Pikachu.
"The secret of what? Have you gone mad!?" Rala said angrily.
"She is not mad," a commanding voice said. Both Rala and Simone stopped fighting and stared into the shadows. A large Sceptile walked into view. Simone had a curious look on her face, and Rala looked angry. This was no ordinary Sceptile. This was Braxis. Not many people saw him anymore. He was always away, letting his son run the tribe. What he was doing was anyone's guess. And what he was doing here, Rala didn't know. But she did know that this would be important. Her eyes were drawn to a weird looking device in his hand. It was a small thing, made of old, petrified wood. Rala would have thought it was a toy, but it was far too old to be a toy. What was it? Was it the key Simone had mentioned?
~~~~~

"... Ok. I'll... Hey, where'd the Frosslass go?" the Weepinbell said. He looked around, but Brink was nowhere in sight. She had already run off. She looked around. She was close, she could feel it. Soon, she heard the sounds of fighting. An Espeon and a Glaceon were fighting some Mountain Tribe warriors. One of those two Eeveelutions was the seer, she could feel it.

"Hey! Leave those two alone!" She shouted out. The Steelix looked at her, and without a second thought, she shrieked.

"MUUURRRKKKK!!!!!!" she yelled at the top of her lungs.

Geo was staring straight into Monart's eyes, disgusted with him. His words sounded like a lie, but Geo listened anyway. "Of course you would say that. You are from the Mountain Tribe, the same as this fool. Naturally, you would stand with your tribe, rather than remain neutral. You will always have the interests of your tribe before anything else, even your friend. Even if something were to happen to her, you would put your own tribe first." Was...was he talking about Daisy too?! Geo was growling at his nonsense, not paying attention to others that suddenly appeared.

He was quite mad now at Monart. He looked at Rene, who was giving orders at the moment. Geo stood at & looked at Monart with an angry face. Putting his tribe first he says. Geo doesn't even know what this Mountain Tribe looks like.

"I help any of those in need. I put everyone first, good or bad. Even you, but YOU PUSHED MY BUTTONS!" This was the longest Geo has ever talked. His eyes were glowing as he suddenly disappeared in a split second & right there, he launched himself with Bullet Punch at Monart. "Never...judge me!"

"... Ok. I'll... Hey, where'd the Frosslass go?" The weepinbell had said exactly what Murk was thinking. When he had turned around, he saw but trees. The sound of Murks name echoed through the trees as it had a minute ago.

"MUUURRRKKKK!!!!!!" What was he, a maid? Why couldn't the seeress fight off one weepinbell. Or was she faced with a caterpie this time?
He ran to inspect what maid Murk Could do for the Seeress this time. When he stepped out into a clearing, he was paralyzed for half a second in fear. An angry Steelix was headed full-speed towards Brink with his tail aglow. Again Murk stood in front of brink and yelled

"MUDDY WATER!!!" A spiral of dirty liquid surrounded Murk. Luckily, the Steelix charged square into his attack and toppled backwards. Out of the corner of his eye Murk could see that he had also caught a graveler off guard. The steelix regained it's balance and unce again charged at them with iron tail, but he seemed a lot angrier this time. Again a spiral of muddy water surrounded Murk. However, this time the iron snake curved around the spurt of mud and attacked from the back. The iron tail hit him square in the back of the head. The blow sent him soaring forward into the ground. All the wind was knocked out of him. He couldn't breath. He couldn't get up. The steelix advanced on him. He sent Brink a message with his eyes

Help!

Daisy was weak and crying as Monart talked not really hearing anything but was well aware of Geo holding her as she cried. She sniffled weak whimpering as Geo let go of her to attack Monart. It took her a second to realize what was happening "G-Geo" she said standing and without knowing why she used teleport to appear in front of Geo taking the attack "N-No. G-Geo no fighting" she choked out in pain still crying as she collapsed eyes closing into Geo's arms.

Topaz's eyes flared dangerously at the accusation to her Master. Riley growled from her back, itching to leap at Monart and claw out his throat. Topaz said nothing for a moment, listening carefully to her master's orders. Then she spoke softly. "As you command Master," she said obediently before fixing Monart with an even stare. "You'll burn for this," she promised, a dark smile on her face. Riley agreed, cheeks sparking.

The CHarmeleon turned and shouted. "All of you fall back!"

"But the commander," One voice called anxiously.

Riley glowered. "Topaz said go so move your tails!"

The soldier, a Sandslash who Topaz knew in passing, bristled. "I am not taking orders from a bra-" Topaz cut him off coolly, oblivious to the tension.

"The order came from Master Rene," she hissed. "Now go before you get killed." The POkemon glared and obeyed, following the rest of the soldiers. Topaz paused, watching the Riolu charge forward, leaving his friend, the Kirlia, behind. Seeing the Kirlia hit, she frowned at the Riolu.

"You need to get out of here," she told it, unsympathetic. "Take your friend and come with us now."

Riley nodded. "Yeah, before you go splat!"

"E...excuse me..." Rard said to Tolsa as he ran off somewhere else to hopefully help further. There was alot of commotion going on deeper in the forest. It was pretty far away but at this point, Rard really couldn't hide. He would just be found on his way, Rard noticed several Mountain Tribe soldiers moving toward the opposite as if leaving the forest. Though Rard could hear a very loud voice in the distance yelling out the name "Murk".

Rard got into action. Whatever was going on back there wasn't good. He could still remember the figure of Topaz so Rard decided to transform into her while her image was still in his mind. A little longer and he would have turned out as a dot eyed Charmeleon.

When Rard got to the source of the call of distress, it already looked like the mountain tribe had an advantage...

"The Master ordered a retreat. Move!" Rard said, trying to imitate Topaz to the best of his ability. The steelix and Graveler looked at Topaz weirdly, almost suspicious. When they saw a few other mountain tribe soldier making their way out of the forest, the threw all suspicion out the window and followed the order. Rard was unaware that the order was really given. He was just lucky.

After a closer look, he noticed that the two of the pokemon were from the ocean tribe, the others were two eeveelutions. Rard transformed back into his old self and slowly edged closer to the Marshtomp.

"......ocean tribe...? Here...?" Rard said quietly.

Xentea expected a blow.

Instead he saw Vetira and Toug turn to face a group of three.

They started to charge at them

he squinted at the three figures one's a Charmleon and two are from the water tribe.

Xentea made a Shadow ball and threw it at Vetira who was blown back

Xentea ran to the Trio and then did a confusion on Toug.

"Toug, we have more important fights to fight..." Vetira said glaring at Xentea.

"Toug?" Vetira turned his head and saw Toug rolling round on the floor klutching his head

"Diglett..dee..Diglett..dee..Trio...Trio." Voices were heard.

4 Dugtrios took Toug and dug away and Vetira tunneled away with a fleet of Digletts

Xentea looked at the three, "I am Xentea, Warrior of the Supernatural tribe." he said it almost robotically.

Vivian just sort of stared at Monart. It was near impossible to read her expression. Given, she had a somewhat limited perceived range of them because of her non-humanoid head. Only those who shared a similar biology would be able to detect the subtler things, that of which Monart was not. Rene however... was. She might notice hints of restraint. Vivian observed the scene and looked down to Bornis again. Well... that just figured now didn't it. She could see that Rene was still alive. She had duties to attend to. ...She found herself silently wondering if that forest pikachu would've wanted her to retrieve Bornis's body. Regardless, the one of the two that was alive took priority.

Yet... she was ordered to retreat. It was then that the full scope of the situation dawned on her. He was going to execute Rene. The battle had already finished and this was the result. So then...

Vivian (Lopunny): "Death in the midst of war is just a casualty. However, should you choose to execute your prisoner..."

She let that thought hang in the air for a moment as she began to move over to Bornis's body.

Vivian (Lopunny): "I will know, and you will come to regret allowing me to leave."

She said this in a matter-of-fact, eerily calm tone as she went about picking up Bornis. The situation didn't seem to bother her on a personal level, and yet her threat of bringing judgement was pretty clear. How she planned to 'know' what he did with Rene was up to one's imagination. By this point she would've scooped the grovyle up into her arms. She would then proceed to start walking off with him assuming nobody tried to stop her. It was almost as if she dared Monart to try, seeing as she could've easily outrun the gallade in a retreat if she so wished. Of course, in reality Vivian just resented fleeing.

Gabriella was fighting with Xentea, but she wasn't doing as good of a job as he was.

"Hey! Leave those two alone!" Gabriella heard.

"MUUURRRKKKK!!!!!!"

The Frosslass yelled at the top of it's lungs. Gabriella slightlly closed her eyes. It was pretty loud.

"MUDDY WATER!!!" A Marshtomp said.

The Steelix was hit by the attack. Then the Steelix charged towards the Pokemon with an Iron Tail attack. The Pokemon was hit, knocking him away. Gabriella didn't see him move after that. Gabriella grew worried. Some other Pokemon arived, and then the Mountain Tribe Pokemon fleed with some Diglits. Gabriella's legs were shaking. She grew weak. Then she grew dizzy.

"No... Not now... Please..."

Gabriella was about to have a vision. Gabriella fell to the ground, her eyes glowing green aura. It was almost like she was knocked out, but she wasn't.

---

Gabriella looked around to see black all around her. As usual, it was her vision. Right now, she perfered to actually taste the berry soup Charlie made for her. But then, she could see Charlie. She began to grow worried. Charlie was walking in the forest! Charlie was holding a basket of berries. But soon, he walked towards some Pokemon. It was Xentea and the others! Charlie dropped his basket. He ran over to try and help them. But he saw Xentea, and the minute he did, he didn't look happy. Gabriella knew this was a vision of the future. What she had learned was that she couldn't stop her future visions from happening. Gabriella would always be too late to stop the events before they took place. The vision started to fade away...

"No... Show me more..."

Monart watched Vivian grab the body and begin walking off with it. He looked at her with a funny look, still holding Rene in one hand.

"Have you perhaps though that these Forest Tribe people might not like you stealing the body of their beloved hero?" Monart asked her serenely, as though he had not just been fighting. Rene groaned in pain, but said nothing else. Then he turned to the Riolu.

"You see. You attacked in a blind rage, typical of the Mountain Tribe. You lost your control and hurt your friend. Now do you understand?" He said, completely ignoring Topaz and the others. He glanced down at them all. Then he strode off into the trees with Rene. He had more important things to do. Didn't matter what that Lopunny did with the body, Rene would serve his purpose anyways. Monart released a small Heal Pulse into the Flareon, bringing him back from the brink of death. Now was not his time yet.

~~~~~
Brink had prepared to use Ice Beam, but when the enemies left, she stopped. She glanced down at the Ditto and the two Eeveelutions that had walked over to her and Murk.
"Indeed Rard. We are from the Ocean Tribe. I... Am Brink. The lengendary seeress. And this is my protector, Murk. We have come a very long way to find her," Brink said grandly, slipping back into her seeress routine. 'Her' was a young Glaceon. Brink could clearly tell she was in the middle of a vision. Brink walked over to her.
"Do not be alarmed..." she said, her words powerful enough to pierce through the vision the Glaceon was having. Brink then placed her hand on the Glaceon's head, using some of her own power to reinforce and strengthen the fading vision.
"Relax. I am not going to hurt you. But you can not control your powers yet. Allow me to add my own power. But you must be the one to keep the vision going as you so desperately want to," Brink said soothingly.She didn't say how she knew what was happening. She was a seeress after all. She looked over at Rard and Xentea.
"Now, you two. Tell me, have you heard of the Tower of Legends?" she said.
~~~~~

Talmire sat down against the tree. He was hurting all over, but he had won. He groaned to himself and pushed himself back to his feet.

"Hey. It's ok... He's gone now. I think they're retreating..." Talmire said quietly. The Rattata poked her nose out from behind the tree. Then she came into view. She walked right on over to Talmire and sniffed him.

"Oh! You're my hero!" she said, her voice very squeeky as she pulled Talmire into a tight hug.

"Hey! Let me go!" Talmire cried, pulling himself frrom her grasp. The Rattata looked confused.

"But... Um... Hey! I know you! You're Tolsa's son!" she said. Talmire sighed. Of course he was his father's son. Who else would he be? But the Rattata wasn't done yet.

"I'm Whisper! I am so grateful that you saved me! So... I'll tell you a story! Once, long ago, gods walked the-" Whisper began, but was cut off.

"Look! I don't care about some dumb old story right now! I need to find my father and find out what's going on!" Talmire said. He charged off into the trees, leaving behind a very speechless Whisper. She shook her head and pulled on her whiskers.

"Fine! I didn't want to tell you anyways!" Whisper said.

"I would be interested in hearing your story..." a female voice said from the trees, Whisper turned around and saw a Beautifly floating towards her.

~~~~~
"Ghetis you moron! Who told you you could do that! Do you realise the trouble you have caused!" Domhawk roared. Ghetis simply looked up at him. He shifted his grip on his bone and gestured wildly at Domhawk.
"You have no right to question me! Not unless you plan on fighting me and taking my position!" Ghetis said angrily. His eyes met Domhawk's and the two stared at each other until Fryed appeared.
"Um... What is going on Elders?" he asked. Ghetis, without breaking his gaze, waved his bone at Fryed.
"Fryed, escort the Supernatural Tribe Delagation out of our lands and prepare the defences," Ghetis said. Fryed looked at him, then Domhawk, then the very tired looking Rapidash that had collapsed on the ground.
"Don't do that. Ghetis hasss no ssstanding anymore..." Nack said as he slithered out of the shadows.
"What?!" Ghetis shouted. Domhawk had a smug look on his face.
"That's what I've been trying to tell you Bone Head! You have been removed as an Elder! We took a vote, and it was decided that you no longer have the best interests of the tribe at heart," Domhawk said smugly. Ghetis growled and glared at Nack.
"You bastards!" Ghetis said angrily.
"Fryed. You will not do anything," Nack said smugly. He slithered away. Domhawk leered at Ghetis then followed him. Ghetis could understand getting him removed as an Elder. But why would Nack not prepare the defences? They both knew what was going to happen. And despite their differences, Nack was usually one to protect the tribe. So why let them remain unprepared? It made no sense. And it all seemed to point back to Fin and the other Supernatural Tribe members that had shown up. That was where all the trouble had begun. And Ghetis was going to geet to the bottom of this.
