I just got a new laptop (yay!) and I've used BisonCam and already figured out how to take videos and pictures (yay!), however there is one problem (...yay?). It isn't recording sound. I've ticked 'Capture Audio' in the Capture part of the menu.

NOTE: There is no proble with the mike as far as I know. I downloaded Hypercam and heard my voice perfectly.

Is the recording device showing up in the device manager?

If it wasn't, how would I have used Hypercam? Also, yes. just to be sure I'll check again.
I meant is the microphone (audio recording device) showing up in the device manager. I should have been clearer, sorry.

NO! You were perfectly clear! It is showing up in there! It IS internal. This laptop IS a brand new Vista and the camera IS internal and BisonCam automatically came with it!

I searched Google and there are TONS of issues that have come up with that software. Just use a search engine to find someone with a similar problem.

But also make sure in the options that there is a mic specified to capture audio from and you've selected the correct one.

Never used the program personally though. What's your OS?

If the microphone (not the camera) is showing up in the device manager, it might just be muted or something. Check the device settings and see if it is, and if it's set to the default recording device. If it's not, try recording on Audacity or something and see if it takes that.
