Last night my friend gets home and finds a little kitten in a shoebox on my doorstep. Like, just-learned-to-open-its-eyes little. It was crying and its rear was all swollen and the person(s) who left it didn't even leave a blanket or anything it was cold last night. The only other thing they left was a tiny bit of milk, but you don't feed kittens milk because it gives them diarrhea and that can kill them.
Have spent most of the morning trying to help/calm my friend down. The kitten (not sure if boy or girl, but it looks like it's a calico so probably a girl) seems okay now. She ate some formula and finally went to sleep a while ago and several of us are gonna go over and take care of it in shifts, but already I think we found someone who wants to adopt it so this looks like it'll have a happy ending.
