Boltbeamers?

(Sorry that Im making lotz of threads... Its because I've been playing lotz of NetBattle XD)

"Only Shedinja, Lanturn and a few others can handle a Boltbeamer" ~frostweaver

So Boltbeamers are good... humm...

[+ Sp. Attack, - Attack] Trait: Volt Absorb
{EVs: 0 for attack, and put it all in Sp. attack}
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Surf
HP Grass

Thunderbolt and Ice Beam are helpful, because they can stand alone as the damaging attacks that a Pok?mon uses.

You don't need Surf and HP Grass.

It doesn't:

(a) have enough SpAt power to Special sweep effectively.
(b) need other Special Attacks, since Ice Beam and Thunderbolt cover all but three monsters -- granted, you won't KO many Special tanks.


It should:

(a) have some other disabling moves (i.e. Confuse Ray, Thunderwave). You may want to put rest on since it has high HP.

Without Surf, you can get owned by Dugtrio... Even Steelix would beat up that Lanturn...

surf is a must on lanturn so to deal with magneton if one ever pops up

Why is Lanturn going up against physical giants to begin with, is beyond me, but Lanturn is an awesome special sponger with high hp and decent sp.def. Toxic can cause a pain for many stallers (Lanturn ALWAYS have toxic back in the days of 202 where it's ALWAYS coming down to Lanturn vs Regice, and the two of them just keeps hurling toxic at one another then rest up for a major stallfest), and its quite an ideal Pokemon to use rest, chesto or not as well.

In my opinion the best boltbeamer, only 5 basepower Sp.Atk less than porygon but has stabbed Ice Beam

Same stuff only with the punches :)
