    I posted in the New Users Hangout but figured I'd post here, too. Since I feel more obligated to type more in my own thread. For some reason, one of my pet peeves is very short and vague introduction threads. I don't know why- so don't ask why. xD My name is Benji and I'm 19 years old. I've been a dedicated Pokemon fan since I was about 9. Back then I would play the Gameboy games for hours on end. I'm surprised I never got carpal tunnel with how often I played those games. I beat Red Version in a day. xD Yellow in two days. I stopped playing and watching for a few years; but, I still brought some of the stuff. Like the stuffed toys. Everytime I saw a Pikachu in a claw machine I had to have it. But, being that I'm older; I rarely admit I'm still into Pokemon. But, recently, I went out on a limb and got Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for my Gamecube. I had to get it because Gamestop had slashed the price and, for the longest time, they had been charging an arm and a leg for the darn thing. Then, the very next day, I went out on another limb and got Pokemon Colosseum. I've been playing them almost nonstop since. :] So, I decided To search Google for a Pokemon community/forum and this popped up first- so, I figured I'd give it a shot. Outside of Pokemon, I'm a dog lover (I have 3 of my own- my family together has 7) and I write a lot. I roleplay every now and then (I'm especially partial to Pokemon roleplays). And, I love to draw. (the first NICE picture I drew was in fifth grade of Pikachu!) I draw in the anime/manga style. But, I can draw realistic dogs. I'm learning how to shade. I plan on being a vet tech in the next few years. Aaaaaaaaand... I love video games? Yeah, that's about all I can think of. So, I look forward to meeting all of you and becoming a part of this community. :)

    Oh, yeah, and I have one cat. My family has four. And I LOVE cavvies. (guinea pigs)

    You love video games as well? I can tell we'll get along. XD
    I also draw in the Anime/Manga style, they have a section for drawing here, if you feel like posting up your work, I'm sure all of us would love to see it.

    That certainly was a nice sized introduction, Benji. I can't say that most new members take the same initiative as you. However, We're far from adverse to long introductions!

    I think just about every fan of the Pokémon universe has gone through one or more slump years where they just seem to fade away from the franchise. Some rekindle their interests when new games come out, others wish to experience the nostalgia of days gone by. In either case, I'm pretty sure that the majority have been there before. XD

    Hope you decide to share your drawings and writing, my friend. I'm sure they would love to see you over in the Pokémon Roleplay forum as well.

    Nah, I'm kidding...Great intro! Looks like you'll be plenty busy here at PC. And the best part is, you can freely express your love for pokemon without fear of ridicule! =P

    After browsing the newbie forums, I realize my post is exceptionally long. xD But, I have a habit of posting long introductions. Don't worry, I've done longer. ;) I'm not sure why I got back into Pokemon (the games and all that) It just kind of happened. I guess I never really grew out of it- but, just stopped. Some of us didn't grow out of it. (obviously) And, I guess I'm one of those some.

    I'll make sure to share my drawings. xD I have some on this computer. ... Somewhere.

    And, Aurafire, I love your avvie/siggy. xD I'm a BIG Bleach fanatic. Though, I never read passed 30 because, for some reason, I could never find the manga passed 30. =/ I'm still trying to.
     
    Wlecome to PC! We hope you have a great time here! (I've only been here for a day, but I'll welcome you like I've been here for a long time anyway :P)
    That is a long introduction, but that's good. The more info we know about you, the better.
    Oh, and if you have a DS or GBA, you should check out the other Pokemon games (Pokemon: Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Firered, Leafgreen, Diamond and Pearl)
    They're all really good, and if you liked XD: Gale of Darkness you should like those (Many people think the Gamecube Pokemon games are not as good as the handheld games, but it's up to you to decide)

    I've played Ruby and Sapphire! Gosh, that was ages ago, though. I miss those days. I used to have all the Gameboy/Advance/Color games from the 1st, 2nd & 3rd generations. (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby & Sapphire) Then I stopped playing and haven't played since; until I got Gale of Darkness. :] I prefer the handheld ones- but the GC ones are keeping me busy until I can get a DS. I really, really want Diamond. But, I haven't got a DS yet. :(
