Borrow Shiny charm?

I want to find a shiny Rockruff, but after two unsuccessful 4 hour hunts I never did. I was wondering if I could borrow someone's Shiny charm? This is NOT a scam, I swear on a stack of Bibles that I'll give it back. I really just want to find my Rockruff and go on my merry way.
