Box names may not contain more than 4 numbers.

Someone already made a thread about this, but to keep in check with the necro guidelines, I decided to make a new topic.

This honestly is the most confusing change I've ever seen to this game.

If you're not already aware, you can't have more than 4 numbers per box name, which makes this moderately hard for organizing your Pokemon if you like to arrange by Pokedex number.

I'm honestly surprised on how my friend is holding up, because I know for a fact this is his favorite method of arranging Pokemon.

Has anyone found out the answer as to why this is? Did they create some huge programming error in which boxes can't have numbers in them anymore?

For anyone else who's planning on doing this, my personal preference is to replace the numbers 1-6 with letters A-F.

How are the rest of you holding up?

It's a bit silly, and I have no idea why they did it or whether it was on purpose, but it's an easy enough glitch to overcome.

What I would do is just keep the names at "Box 1" etc and just know in my head that Box 1 = Pokemon 1-30, Box 2 = Pokemon 31-60 etc. Or else name them like "1+, 31+, 61+" etc.

    :3

I never use numbers in box names so I don't really mind, if I were to, though, then I'd probably just use three numbers, since luckily 1000 Pokemon don't exist yet. :D

Honestly isn't bothering me at the moment, I catch the 6 Pokemon I need then don't catch anymore till I've beaten the elite 4.

I have OCD and HAVE to organize by pokedex numbers so I have found this very aggravating. For now I list the first number in the box and add a star next to it when the box is complete.

It doesn't really affect me that much because I never do that anyway, but it is silly how they did that.

What's with the typo in the thread title? Seriously. Learn to spell, OP. (jk, I know you may not know "than" and "then" mean different things.)

Anyway, I'll use the "+" idea in my games.

I don't organize my boxes like that but it is annoying and pointless that they would put that kind of limitation in there. I mean really, it's not like you can use obscene language using only numbers, so I don't see any reason for it.

OMG you guys are all slow in numbering your boxes here is a solution for you guys and this worked perfectly well for me:

So here is the main key thing that you might want to know "1" = lower case "L" and "zero" = capital "O". Since majority of the number labels always have this two numbers, you could always just change them to their equivalent look alike. So if you are going to change "601-630"
you would have to type it up like this: 6_capital O_ lower case L- 63 capital O. This method should work out really fine since it worked out on me.... you might have little trouble changing the last box since the last number in the pokedex is 649 which is Genesect, so I just change 649 to 650!

I organise my pokemon by pokedex number I've found2 good methods.
1 is to put the number of the box as the top left number you would put inside the box.eg. 001......031......061

2 is what I do. Put the name as the bottom right pokemon.eg. 030....060....090.

I had noticed it immediately after pressing submit. Unfortunately, the tools to edit the subject aren't available to me.

To answer your question, just look at the time the thread was posted. 4am? You're lucky I wasn't talking about hotdogs.

I know how to properly use words, (I'm not retarded) but good eye!
