    I have a female Pikachu that knows surf and volt tackle (from Battle Revolution). I'd like to know how to breed it so that I can get a Pikachu (not Pichu!) That knows both volt tackle AND surf. All I've been getting is Pichu with volt tackle only. It's really frustrating. >.>;;

    even though this is in the wrong forum >.> . .

    pikachu will always produce pichu when bred

    and since pikachu or pichu cannot learn Surf from HM, and the only way to get it is from PBR, then the baby wont pick up Surf from breeding.

    to pass on TMs and HMs, the pokemon has to be able to learn the TM/HM.

    does that help?

    In addition to LemonLime's post, only males can pass down moves. So, even if Pichu or Pikachu could learn Surf, that Pikachu wouldn't be able to pass it on.

    Then again, if Pichu or Pikachu could learn Surf, the point would be moot.

    Next time, please post questions about breeding in the Breeder's Corner in the GB Strategies and Movesets section. But since the everything that needs to be said on the matter has already been posted, I'll just go ahead and close this instead of moving it.
