    If pokemon in HeartGold "Don't seem to get along", will they eventually make an egg or does that mean no?
     
    It's a very low percentage that it'll happen. I'd go ahead and switch the combination though. But it's still possible.
     
    You'll get an egg eventually. Just keep walking or cycling around until you get one. It's the message "They prefer to play with other pokemon than each other." that gives you a 0% chance of getting an egg.
