Breeding Tips

Usually, when I play the Pokemon games, I usually focus on the battles and finishing the plot and whatnot. But recently, I've been getting more into the breeding than I usually do. If anyone has any tips for anyone breeding; good pairs, good movesets, etc. please post here. Also, if anyone has tips for how to increase the likelihood of producing a shiny, that'd be awesome. Thank you for your help and participation.

The "Masuda Method" involves breeding a Pokémon with one of a foreign language. I am assuming you are talking about DPPt by the way.
