Hey, yeah, so I'm thinking of using Breloom for my team, just needed some advice. So far this looks pretty good:

    Breloom@Salac Berry
    Adamant/Jolly
    Effect Spore
    252 Attack 252 Speed 6 HP
    Endure
    Spore
    Seed Bomb
    Focus Punch

Little tactic I came up with. I endure the foes hit, then after the Salac berry activation, I Spore and then Seed bomb and focus punch away! In sandstorms, I either Seed Bomb in advance or switch out. I was thinking of using a focus sash instead of endure, and replace the move with subsitute, but then I decided against it. Anyways, please comment and improve...blah blah blah...

You'll die before you can switch out on sandstreamers. So no endure, run sub. Um, switch it into a favorable matchup and you can set up a sub while they switch and spore spore spore 'em to death ;)

Breloom @ Toxic Orb ** My Pet Mongoose
    Trait: Poison Heal
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -Satk)
    - Spore
    - Focus Punch
    - Seed Bomb
    - Leech Seed.
You run Mach Punch also for the 2nd Slot. ;) Comment: Your Set is pretty nice. To improve it, I would run maybe Mach Punch over Focus Punch if you want to. Personal Preference. But I actually like running the Set in Bold.

Running Mach Punch over Focus Punch destroys the point of using breloom :/

And I'd actually run adamant. what's it going to outspeed?

    K. Thanks for that, Anti. You seem to be the best player on here.

Maybe in ADV compadre ;) no way I'm the best at D/P. Here's a tip-when you're thinking about movesets and all that, applying simple logic to things always seems to help ;) And even in all of my arrogance and ignorance I can tell you that about every RMTer on here would clean me on shoddy.

However, since the sporepunching is SO expected, I developed this set a long time ago, glad I still remember it:

Breloom @ Choice Band (Scarf would be fine now I suppose)
    Trait: Effect Spore
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Focus Punch / Brick Break
    - Stone Edge
    - Seed Bomb
    - Thunderpunch

Of course I had to modify it...Mach Punch is an option over about anything really, if you prefer that. Watch out for Gengar...I used to run HP Ghost, but now that it's special...

But that's a very effective set if you use it properly.

SporeSubPunching Breloom is probably the best way. Though it does require good prediction. If you can get through the first turn by having good prediction, then Breloom can have a playday on most teams.

No it can't; any pokemon faster than it that can take a focus punch (Mence...) will obliterate the thing. And skarm can nail it with drill peck or roar it away. Breloom can't really sweep teams unless you give it jask support and an attack move other than focus punch. breloom is VERY easy to counter...status absorbers FTW. Milotic is probably the best example actually. But yeah.

Also, adding to what Anti said, it can't kill important things such as Blissey. OHKO is important with Breloom. OHKO is what it's aiming for. If it can't do that, it's either dead, or going to be switched out. Normally, people would Switch out, unless it's in-game. ;)

I like going jolly as you outspeed Tyranitar and Gayarados etc..

    Breloom@Toxic Orb
    Jolly Nature
    252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP
    Trait : Poison Heal
    - Substitute
    - Seed Bomb / Stone Edge /Leech Seed
    - Focus Punch
    - Spore

It needs Sub more in this gen that ever due to Extremespeed and Ice Shard Abusers etc. it also allows you to hurt things that are faster than you that switch in.

    Stone Edge = Anti Flying

Seed Bomb for things like Slowbro and other Bulky waters.

Leech Seed is there so you can abuse it with Poison heal. Seed on the switch and then Spam sub if they are faster you will heal like nearly all of the damage taken from sub.

It lost Hidden power Ghost this gen which hurt it slightly, but oh well.....

Not so fast. Breloom with mach punch, sub, focus punch, and spore takes Blissey's jugular and poops on it. Meaning that after it breaks your sub and is nearly out of HP, Mach punch finishes it. You don't even need that though. Besides, anybody who keeps bliss in on that thing is REALLY stupid. Just switch to something that can take the blow. But really, you don't need a OHKO. If they break your sub and a faster sweeper is sitting in front of your face, switch to a wall and send it in when the time comes.

You can't expect breloom to sweep teams and OHKO everything. It just can't do that. If you play your cards right, however, it'll help you a lot in the battle ;)

i like mach punch + stone edge for the subspore set. i also give it hp evs so it can take scarf outrage.

Actually, Blissey has Natural Cure for Spore, though. ;)

Which is why you focus punch the incoming pokemon ;) Prediction, lad. If you suspect something like Noir or gengar, launch stone edge ;)

Um, it's so you actually do damage and not just focus punch a ghost :/ you should be switching out if Noir comes in anyways, since WoW destroys breloom.

But it wont get statused due to Toxic Orb and Poison heal, such a pwnage ability. Although Dusknoir is a problem if you cant sleep it due to another one of their party being asleep. It also carrys Ice Punch or Fire punch sometimes.

You can Sub Seed it though, it will be destroyed when it cant Pain Split due to the Sub and you recover like all of the sub damage with Leech Seed and Poison heal.

WoW doesn't destroy breloom unless someone forgot their toxic orb =/

but yeah, i find sub far more superior than other alternatives on breloom.

I like sub because it blocks status ;) But then again, I CB about anything that can learn 4 good physical attacks, so yeah ;)
