4th Gen Bringing Back beta stuff

    I was looking round Gold and Silver beta stuff
    And i cam across golderod city

    Its sais the the gatehouse on the side is to imply a Harbor
    But i looked around goldenrod city for the first time on hgss and noticed

    they brought back being able to walk that way on goldenrod city
    Were they gonna but a Trading center of some sort there
    A de-grade of GTS ? o.O

    That is what Goldenrod was going to look like 0_o where's the gym at?
     
    The building at the top left labeled "ARN." is the gym. IIRC these beta screenshots were from a German Gold/Silver so ARN. is probably an abbreviation of "Gym" in German.

    They're known as Arenas in German Pokemon games, so you're right.

    Was the pokéathlon planned or a GTS of some sort
    People say its a new route
    but theres no beta map to prove it

    Who knows what it was. It's definitley not the Poke-whatever or GTS because the ORIGINAL G/S were made waaaay before D/P if you realize that.... -___-

    But they could have planned it way beofre
    like many things in D/P or R.S.E
    Were planned for Past games

    Like MARILL was suppose to go in pokemon yellow
     
    On the beta screenshot you'll notice that there's no Department Store present (well, a building with two doors, but no Department Store) so perhaps that side exit of the town had to do with shopping?
     
    Looks very much like the HG/SS Goldenrod City, but as said above, there doesn't seem to be a Department Store.
