    O...kay. The same rules apply to this thread as well as the other thread I just warned. Please don't discuss the "alleged" sexual themes and whatnot...it may lead to flame wars...and it may offend certain members here. If it keeps up, I'll do the honors of closing the thread...just as friendly reminder! ^_^;

    Honestly...it may be geared for all audiences, with many levels of interpertations and whatnot, but at heart, it really is a kids' show. It makes me sad to think that people twisted the whole deal with Ivy and Brock.

    Personally, I believe that Brock is simply comic relief. His antics towards girls are pretty funny to watch, you have to admit. He's just a little girl-crazy, and besides, if he got a girlfriend, he would probably stay there with her, instead of traveling with Ash, like in the Orange Islands season. We can't have that, now can we?

    Brock is a much deeper character than just flirting with girls. He is like the second most important character in the show. He is Ash's big brother figure, and the father figure of the whole group throughout most of the series. He is also willing to do anything to help Ash/Misty/May when they are in need, he has some of the coolest pok?on in the group at any one time.

    Right on...Brock is so misunderstood. I was simply justifying his head-over-heels attitude when it comes to girls. Well spoken, tmbjr!

    What we have here is a perfect explanation of Brock. tmbjr, j00 pwnz.

    Yeah, Brock is still the smartest in the group, whatever you may say about Max. He's got that girl crazy side to him, but come on, even the original creator Satoshi Tajiri didnt intend on people taking it the wrong direction. Like it was said before, Brock is the comic relief and basically the mac daddy of the whole group in the anime, so, respect the good man.. eh..heh..

    Give Brock a bit of credit, robyextreme. He's the older male that Ash need, in addition to being a mother-figure and mentor to the rest of the group. Furthermore, as has been said, his antics are amusing, and he's incredibly loyal. He and Misty are the two people in the show that I cannot stand seeing go. I still choke up on both of their departure episodes.

    meh...I can easily explain him because he is my favorite character in the anime. IRL, I am an incrredebly Brockish person.

    ditto here Tommy! Brocks my fav too (but Kenta rounds in 2nd XD) and im a very Brockish person myself XD we should start a "Come here if you are like Brock" group :P

    I know...Brock is one of my all time favorite characters. He's cool, and the fact that he's obsessed with girls is just to make it funny! ^^ Brock is smart, mature and um..cool! ^_^

    I do like Brock. I think he would change if he left the group to be with some women. I love the original three, not May/Max/Tracey/Tood. BROCK's THE BEST!

    Stereotypical guy

    In many comedy anime, there's at least one person who's girl crazy. For example, Saiyuki (if you've seen that). Gojo is obsessed with girls. I honestly don't think Brocks antics are meant to be taken in too deeply. In Japan, he's your stereotypical supporting character/sidekick. But all the same, it is interesting to see just how far the writers will go in his pick-up lines! :)
