2nd Gen Bug Catching Contest

The best bug type I ever caught in the bug catching contest was a Butterfree. I don't recall what my prize was but, that was when I won when I caught a Butterfree and believe me that little butterfly wasn't a easy one to catch.
 
I got a shiny scyther while in a bug catching contest, but I think I may have lost :s

When you get a shiny though, you don't care about winning so much because you are so excited. The shiny scizor stayed with me through the game and was an invaluable false-swiper.
 
I caught really many Pokemon in the Bug Catching Contest, but i think Scyther is the best of them, just as an opinion.
The first one i ever finished with was a Pinsir that got me an (useless) Everstone.... At least i think so.
 
WHY WON'T YOU MAKE MY SUPER-AWESOME AND SUPER-POWERFUL WEEDLE AS A WINNER?! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!

I like how you get some variety of bug-pokemon in it, so if you need one at some point in your jouney, you're good to go.
 
Scyther and Pinsir was the best in terms of winning the contest. Only on rare occasions would I still lose. >_>

In terms of strength, I can't actually remember training any of the pokemon I caught in the bug cataching contest, so... xD
 
I always told myself I would catch something different but I always ended up catching Bedrill and Scyther/Pinsir.
 
My first was actually a Metapod. I evolved it into Butterfree before putting it back into the PC for the rest of its life. After that, I got me the Scyther. :D
