    I was trying to get online and it wouldn't let me it said something about a busy server...

    any idea what this is about?

    Yeah, it happens once a day or so. Just be patient and let the site breathe a little. Give it like.. 5-10 minutes, and after that, you can try going back in again. ;)

    It does that often. It's because many people (mostly guests) are online and n00bs that refresh every 10 seconds. Give it some time and PC will return.

    Basically this. But don't be surprised if you see Database Errors often, it's a pretty normal occurrence for PC. XD;

    Just so you know, if PC's expected to be down (aka a sheduled downtime that doesn't necessarily have a notice), you can check https://twitter.com/pokecommunity for details regarding the downtime.

    PC also has backups on the 1st and 15th of every month usually early on in the mornings for most Americans (which means PC is unlikely to work properly during the backup/could be down).

    Also note: The site will show a "busy" error message and not let your browse if the server load gets too high.. this is designed to help recover when the site get hammered or attacked. It is part of the software we use and not something the staff does.

    However, if PC is busy, do go find something to do for 5 to 10 mins, then come back. This is so that we can recover the server faster.. if you all keep reloading pages, refreshing, logging in, etc.. it adds that much more to the already overloaded system, making it much harder to clear out the overload.
