Buying Manga.

The best place to buy manga, in my opinion, is at anime conventions. They usually have places in the dealer's room where you can buy used manga in good condition at VERY good prices.

But that's a bit unrealistic if all you want to do is buy manga and be on your way. xD My friends used to tell me about a used Japanese bookstore called Book-Off, but I never had a chance to go, so I can't personally vouch for it. Then there's also Kinokuniya bookstores, which are a tiny bit more expensive than your usual Barnes and Noble but have a much bigger selection. The one nearest to us recently closed down (it was a pretty dark day for us) but maybe you'll be luckier.

Otherwise, I just stick with Barnes and Noble for the series I can't go without. Hope that helps~

I have 3 One Piece volumes in my house, but I cheat and get them from the Library. I'm not saying you'll be able to fill all your Manga needs at your library, I live in the City with the largest amount of Library branches in North America. They're not always in mint condition but they're never in bad condition. The price on the back of them are:

$9.99 US
$12.99 CAN
£6.99

But this might just be Shonen Jump. If you're buying Light Novels or something it's probably gonna cost more.

Just what I know from experience.

I usually get older ones from my local Half-Price Books for anywhere from $4-$7 a piece, which is better than their MSRP, IMO. I usually buy new from Borders, though, so....a lot of my money is disappeared. And I really really wanted to get some more, too...:(
