Question: Can I "bump" a Thread or will it be double posting?

Am I allowed to "bump" a Topic (a thread started by me), if I'm the last one to make a comment on it, or will that be counted as double posting?

Depending on the section you're in, topic bumping rules will vary. For the most part, thread revival is not allowed after 30 days, but again, some sections have different revival rules. So I'd recommend you consult with the section's rules you plan to bump your topic in before doing so. :)

Would it be counted as double-posting? By the letter of the law, probably. Will anyone care? Provided it's not within an hour of when you posted and you don't do it excessively, probably not.
As mentioned, there's a 30 day limit in most forums. Going by Beginner's Lounge, which you seem to frequent, there's no mention of a different limit, so the same 30-day rules apply there.

Okay, so basically any thread older than 30 days cannot be bumped.

And ya, actually I was wanting to revive a couple of threads on Beginner's Lounge, but since they're old threads, I'm not allowed to right.

P.S. Should I have asked this question on Beginner's Forum itself, so I can know the exact rules that apply there? Could it be moved there?
