So I am making a game that is like the monster catching games of pokemon but just untill I finish it I wanted to make a fan game can I make a fan game and legally use my sprites in my game I ask cause in this fan game I have permission to use certain sprites that aren't mine in combination with my own.

First, I would strongly recommend you to finish your first game before making another one.

Second, you don't need permission to use your own sprites (well, you can ask yourself lol), unless you don't have the rights over your game (e.g. a random dev from Ubisoft doesn't have the right to use his own work on Assassin's Creed, because AC is owned by Ubisoft and not by him).
Just ask again to the people who made the sprites you don't own.

But anyway, you don't have the "right" to use Pokémon assets, and yet this whole forum is based on support + publication of games with Pokémon assets. It really intrigues me how people (users + makers) seem to care about copyright.

No I just mean that a lot of these monsters/pokemon I have made were being originally made for a fan game I was working on but then I got the idea to make a my own game with them at least the ones I made and I just wanted to know if that meant if I use them are they still mine or are they pokemon's property now and if I make this non pokemon game after the fan pokemon game and make a small profit off of the non pokemon game since it has taken a lot of time for me to make will I get striked because I originally made a fan game? I wanted to make a fan game first or atleast a long side because I wanted to share my creatures cause I think they look pretty nice.

I am not a native-speaker, I have so much trouble parsing your message XD
    (Punctuation please)
(But from what I understand, I already responded)

If you create fakemons, they are yours. What you make doesn't become anyone else's work, unless you sell them the rights, or you work for a company! It's not because you call them "fakemon" or even "Pokémon" that they magically belong to The Pokémon Company lol (unless, again, if you work for Game Freak / Nintendo).

Generally the people who strike fangames, are the copyright owners. From what I understand, you own the rights over your creatures. You didn't mention working for a dev team, so I'm assuming your fangame was made only by you. Only you can complain and sue someone if they use your creatures.

    Is that clear?

yeah only made by me thank you for clearing that up I just wanted to know before putting my sprites out there
