He said "It still had enough energy to fire it once." and I did not see anything go wrong with the firing. Nobody stopped the shot, damaged the machine or did any interruptions to the firing. Why did it only destroy the base instead of blow up the world? A weapon that is capable of wiping out the majority of the humans/Pokemon in the past 3000 years ago should do better than just destroying one tiny base???

A man built a machine to resurrect his dead Pokemon at the cost of the lives of many other Pokemon. Still, I don't get why the Pokemon would just leave him. As terrible as his actions were, he did it all for you? Why would anyone just leave?

I wonder why the team flare grunts still underestimate you so much even after you beat their boss a number of times. If anything, they should set up a plan or a trap and totally screw you over instead of fighting head on and thinking you're fighting against a noob. How about when you had to stop the device/ultimate Pokemon, they carry 6 Pokemon each(even 6 trash Pokemon is good) instead of 1 Pokemon each to keep you busy to buy enough time for their plan to work or something.

By the way, compared to the past series of what those team something people do, this time, Team Flare is going to wipe out the entire human/Pokemon race. Hello, elite 4? Champion? Going to chill and act cool in your fancy room huh? If I didn't stop Lysandre, you guys would sure look cool later when you're dead...Care to help at all?

Anyway, after playing for 4 days, I think this game is great. The graphics has improved a lot compared to other series. A lot of moves are really cool now. Lysandre's Gyaradosite/Mega Gyaradosite kicks ass, Lysandre is probably the strongest antagonist of those team something of all series. Too bad he only has 4 Pokemon.

The weapon was barely charged when Lysandre fired it out of sheer desperation. It needed the energy of Xerneas/Yveltal and that of Pokémon on Route 10. The main character captured Xerneas/Yveltal and Tierno and Trevor managed to untie and liberate trainers and Pokémon from Route 10 minutes after the weapon was activated, it didn't have enough time to absorb the energy it needed to do more damage.

It didn't want to stay with the man capable of mass murder of those of its own kind. Makes sense to me.

    ... I got nothing :) .

The answers to your questions are:

    1) As is said in Starcraft: NOT ENOUGH ENERGY

    2) It's Pokemon. Smart people and well thought out stories tend not to exist.

    Spoiler:

Dunno about the rest, though. Maybe they couldn't get there in time or Team Flare had already done something to keep them away. Personally, I'm glad they didn't interfere, because then we'd have another instance of "Oh hi don't mind me I'm totally not a member of the Elite Four/the Champion but I'm going to help you out for no reason at all ignore me hahahaha" and then expect you to be surprised when you got to them later and found out that they are, in fact, the Champion/a member of the Elite Four.

I agree with you that I don't like the surprise factor either, but story wise it's kind of dumb to not take action if you're going to die as well.

I didn't pay enough attention at that part but now that you mention it, I think I did remember them saying that. I'm very surprised Tierno and Trevor was much more useful than I thought, played a pretty important role on saving the world too.

Actually, somebody in another thread had pointed out that Malva is a news reporter for the holocastor and had the opportunity to censor out information concerning with team flare (except for the really big ones such as robbing the pokeball factory). We should also take into consideration that the holocastor is developed from Lysandre labs which reinforces the idea of information being tampered. Now I'm assuming that most of the people in the Kalos region have a holocastor just like how many people have iphones in RL, but this might explain a bit on why team flare were generally treated as low level troublemakers which contributed to the reason why the elite four weren't mobilized earlier to stop them until it was too late.
