can someone explain to me redis rules?

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking.

Give me some examples of the 'lingo' that you're not understanding? D:

What words are you having trouble with?

In reference to trading Pokemon, Redistribution rules dictate how anothers' Pokemon is be to be handled after they trade it to you. Normally, you want Pokemon that are Fully-Redistributable, because you can trade them to who ever you please. Semi-Redis means that if you trade another's Pokemon, the person you traded it to cannot trade it again. Non-Redis means that once you recive the Non-Redis Pokemon, you cannot trade it again.

Another helpful hint is to credit other's for their Pokmon too. Say I trade you my Electivire. If you put it in your trade thread after I trade it to you, you would list it as "Livewire466's Electivire" lvl 40 etc etc.

thats exactly what i wanted to know thank you! the redis part, and is cloning tournament legal? ive never heard of it until i joined the forum. and is RNG abuse tournament legal?

What we consider "legal" is pretty much any Pokemon which hasn't been affiliated with some sort of hacking device, such as PokeSav and Action Replay, which is pretty much the standard rules of legality in places such as world championships. If you use these things to get the Pokemon you want, which includes going as far as Rebattle codes, then most likely they won't be allowed in such events.

what about the world championships? like the official tournaments and stuff.

In the World championships, the game itself can have hacked Pokemon and things like that in it, just not hacked Pokemon/items/TMs/etc in your party

While we're on the subject, what are the rules about legal hacks in Wi-Fi battle? A legal hack is a Pokemon that was hacked, but has perfectly legal stats, EVs, IVs, moves, items, etc.

→ Hacked Pokémon
Pokémon with typing, stats, ability, height/weight, and moves that cannot normally be obtained in the game without the use of a cheating device such as Action Replay are banned. Hacked Pokémon that have normal features (AKA legal hacks) are allowed as long as you clearly state you are using them. However, if both you and your opponent agrees to use hacked Pokémon, you may use them. Any suspicion of the illegal use of hacked Pokémon should be reported.
That's for Battle Stadium, but if you meant VGC I'm pretty sure they are not allowed. You might be able to sneak them in I guess.
