I've been unable to identify a synth (or whatever else it might be) that begins at the 0:37 mark in this video. Anybody have an idea of what it's called? I'd like to utilize it in works of my own.




Also, would a general questions thread be a good idea? This feels like a bit of a waste of thread space. ^^;

It's a super saw. I can't tell you what synth made it, because a lot of synths can do that.

Basically just a saw with a gentle low pass somewhere in the highs. Crank the unison up to 7-9 and use detune, then put on chorus at the end. For the gliding effect you can use legato or automate the pitch yourself.

I tried to recreate it in Massive. Here's the preset.

I used a CMaj7 and automated the Pitch parameter, which I set to modulate by up to 2 semitones in the preset. Have fun.
