can u fix a wasted shiny?

so a while back on HG i was on my way to the elite 4 for the first time and what do i find but a shiny tentacruel. I caught that mofo right away, and then i made him 1 of my HM *****es. cut, waterfall, whirlpool, and surf. I never planned on actually doing wifi stuff until now, so should i try to reclaim him and make him useful? he might have been a part of 10 battles so has nearly 0 EVs, and i dont know his nature off hand, but is he useful or should i just forget about a tentacruel?

truthfully i would rather have a tenta with red stuff on it rather than green, but shiny is shiny

It really depends - if you don't mind that much about trying for perfect IVs or whatnot (which is more for rather serious compeititve players) then in my opinion go for it. Besides, there's the move deleter/move relearer to make use of, and if you're going to go into EV training and it had some battles already you can reset them via specific berries but 10 battles as said is not very much.

Could ask in CBC, I guess. Tentacruel is usually used as a stall (or at least, that's how I used mind). Next time you have a question, please use the Q&A thread for the game it corresponds to. Oh.
