3rd Gen Can you get Mew on Firered and Leafgreen?

No-one knows yet. There's a lot of speculation about Mew on FR and LG. I'm aware that Mew has an overworld sprite (someone has hacked the game to find this out), so he may be catchable, or he may not be. Of the 386 Pokemon, Mew is one of the two that eludes us for the moment. The other, Celebi, was available in Japan on the Pokemn Colosseum bonus disk (US Players got Jirachi instead).
 
This should have been in the stickied Simple Questions thread. And no Mew cannot be caught in FR/LG.

Celebi has an overworld sprite too, but it isn't catchable either.
