Can you Play American DS games on a Japanese DSi?

I just wanted to know just in case the new Kingdom Hearts DSi does not come out it America. Thanks :)

Yeah, you can. The only issue with the DSi is that you won't be able to purchase American DSiware games and whatnot--only the Japanese library will be available to you.

But all cartridges regardless of country of origin should work fine in any DS(i) system.

Thanks for the information. I do not think DSiware is an issue for me since I will have everything before my friends. Maybe I should just import instead of getting it when it is nation wide... Aha..

Well, if/when there is some US-only DSiware available, you won't have access to it, is all. :/ Plus language barrier, if that's an issue. Otherwise you're probably good to go.
