Yes, you can. That's how I received Ho-oh from my Coloseum game. To do so, you would need yet another Link Cable. The normal one for trading GameBoy to GameBoy won't work in this instance. One end of this newer Link Cable will connect to a slot in the GameCube and the other end will connect to the normal trading slot in your GameBoy. You need to buy this Link Cable.

Cool cause I got this one that has a port for two GBAs and a GC port as well, so where do I go to trade in the GC games??

To Phenac's City Pokémon Center in both (Colosseum and XD), after you have finished the Story Mode of the games.

Yes, you need to beat the story mode of them (which sucks ass)

You only need to beat the main story though so if you want to trade sooner you can just defeat all the shadow pokemon and catch them later.
