Alright, theres two difrent ways to say caramel.

Care-a-mel or Car-mel, how do you say it??

I say it either way (but mostly car-mel).

I have always said ca-ra-mel. Don't think I have heard anyone say the other way. o.o

For me it's Cara (like the name) and mel like in Melody.
There should be a survey on pronunciations, I'd gladly take it.

So yeah, I pronounce it "car-mel". Serves me right for living in a country once ruled by the British....the Maoris probably caught up with the "car-mel" pronouncing.

I hate it when people say 'car-mel'. I say car-a-mel. I also hate it when people pronounce the t in often. >_>

Ca-ra-mel is how I say it. I've heard how others say it car-mel and it just sounds weird to me. Reminds me of a person I know who says Pro-ject. *shudders*

That's a toughie. X3; I generally go either way, but I suppose I say "cair-uh-mel" more often, it's just more fun to say IMO. XD

I say it as Ca-ra-mal. I rarly hear Car-Mal though.
