I can get to the save point, but not far beyond that, can somebody help me? My team is Chimchar lv73 and Turtwig Lv78 (and for this dungeon Cresselia, duh).

Well, here is my story about the Dark Crater! I was Charmander (level 50 something) and my partner was Pikachu (about the same level). I got really frustrated in there (because Cresselia's useless as a partner) so I left and taught myself Rock Slide. After I knew a rock-type move, the dungeon was a whole lot easier. Also, keep a lot of Reviver seeds and Max Elixers.

Okay, but I can't learn any rock moves that I know of, and my partner already knows rock slide, and I already keep a lot of Reviver Seeds/Max Elixrs with me

Hmmm, You have the same team as me, I've already defeated the Dark Crater, I was turtwig and my two partners were Chimchar and Cresselia, and I only kept 1 reviver seed, I manage to get there with alot of stress, I died about 13 times and never got to Darkrai, I keep alot of other seeds, Sleep seed, Stun seed and etc.

Well, If you have rockslide you should use it alot of times, Also you should get a sunny day orb (If you are Chimchar) so that your fire moves boost up, You can also attack the fire type with your fire you know but don't use it on the Pokemon that absorb fire then that would be useless.

I think you should get more rock moves on your Pokemon. But anyway I don't remember stuff, I've passed the whole game and never play PMD2 anymore =]

Mmm okay I'll take that into consideration, the only problem I have right now is that when I got my new DS (my old one was broken) my game somehow got lost ugh... i could still use help however for when I find it.

well your gonna need alot more reviver seeds cause darkrai is hard, heres a tip, kill darkai first, dont let him use agility or watever over and over again cause otherise you'll lose, oh and bring X-Eye Seeds and Totter Seeds to throw at him

Okay, that should help because I usually focus on the other guys in a boss battle and then the boss, thanks for the advice

thats a good tactic but I lost the 1st time because he had max evasiveness by the time I had beaten all the other guys

also teach chimchar scratch again it is basiclly the move I have used the most in the whole game and I've got a level 88 Charizard... seriously its awesome for just getting through dungeons

You have a lvl. 73 Chimchar? Many strategy people post here are useful, I just hope you can use mine.

Your team is like mine, I'm a Torchic (Lvl.53 at that time), and my partner is a Chikorita(Lvl. 52 at that time), oh and Cresselia.

The first thing you do is protect your Cresselia, She's so useless! D:

Also, watch out for Magmortar, His Flametrower can kill you at one shot.

Anyways, trutwig is just fine because it has Razorleaf right?

Rock moves are good, but you won't need it much, just use a rock move on Pokemon who has Flame Body and Flash Fire. (My Torchic has Rock Slide)

For Boss battle, take care of Arbok, Mismagius and Magmortar FIRST. they're a real killer.

Then make Cresselia take care of Aggron, it will keep her company (Cresselia won't die, Aggron has lame moves.) And make turtwigtake care of Rhyperior FIRST, before the rest.

For Darkrai, Does Chimchar has fighting moves? well use it, My Torchic can't use fighting moves after he evolved. x(

Flametrower and Ember is a real life saver in the dungeons, Seeds and Flamethrower for battling Darkrai.

I DO hope it helps, your team is 20 levels higher than mine, and I defeatedit the first time. x(

Yes, I do have a Lv73 Chimchar, but I really don't want to teach it scratch, it has an awesome moveset already, thanks for the boss advice though I'll probably need it, but how do you have non-leader pokemon do what you want them too? Or are you saying just hope they do or something
