Issue: Cannot Remove Notifications

I can't seem to remove the notifications by clicking the "x" button.
I needed to click on the notification, let the browser load the post of the people who gave my post a like, and then the notification disappears.

I also can't remove the pipz-wants-to-be-your-friend notification, no matter how many times I visit the friends page. =/

I'm using Chrome, by the way.

And oh, I tried other styles to try and get rid of them.
No luck =/

You're not the only one; I'm also facing the same, exact issue. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's any other way to get around to that, aside from what you already know--click on each notification one-by-one and visit its page. It might be a bit troublesome for those who have slow connection like me, but not that much. As for friend requests, you should either accept or decline. If that doesn't remove it for ya, then I'm not really sure what else you could possibly do, sadly.
