Cannot understand what is about this card

Well, I've been looking through my hold pokemon collections and I've just came a crossed this Mewtwo card, I always since a kid had a feeling about this card is that it's worth something.

(I cannot post images at the moment in time, but basically it's a mewtwo with a purple background with red-looking bolts of lightning)

I went on multiple forums back in 2004 and 2011 mentioning this was a fake, but I've got this, so, I'm not so sure about this, would this be one of the rare error cards or something?

Forgot to mention it has zapdos in the description and I'm no pokemon expert, but Im sure mewtwo is NOT an electric type.

It's a fake. The tell that I can see from the pictures is the font used for Mewtwo's name. Also, that bottom half is pretty much just the bottom half of a Base Set Zapdos card, with the exception of the set symbol, which is from Neo Discovery, and, iirc, that set has neither Mewtwo nor Zapdos in it.



Worth noting: the typing isn't the biggest tell simply because there was a thing called "Delta-Species Pokemon" cards in sets released between 2005 and 2007.

While there is an electric type Mewtwo in existence the one you have does in fact look like a fake. The font in the name is wrong and Thunderbolt should have damage based on the effect. No need to even look it up at that point.

Right, okay, thanks guys,I'm not much of a TCG player and I still dont know how much a Rare holo is worth, I got like 15 on them, but, you know, I spotted that one, then me and my friend stayed up all night to find out what's wrong with it, we thought it might be an error card but then everyone says it's fake.

So yeah, thanks for confirming it's fake, might as well rip it up 'n all.
