Many ages ago I made a thread about people who were imprisoned or executed that could have been innocent of crimes they were convicted of. Today let's check out the other side of the moon. Do you know any stories of folks who appeared guilty as heck of something very serious, but either went free or got off with a lighter sentence than should have been?
Casey Anthony is one that is burned in my memory. She was caught in endless lies, even going so far as to fabricate this character of a nanny out of thin air, and claim this fictional entity, who happened to be Latina, abducted her daughter Caylee. She also refused to report her child missing even after a month went by, always pretending she was somewhere else as she went out to party, all the while she literally had the smell of a dead body coming from her car at the mechanics. It was astonishing that this psychopath wasn't convicted, and it's sickening to see her walk free and go around making reality shows.
Did you ever follow a situation like this that seemed like a no-brainer, but there was still no justice to be had?
