Can't knock out gyms last pokemon (bug?)

Hey I was wondering if more people experienced the same problem.
(Or maybe I'm doing something wrong??)

Whenever I fight in an opposing faction's gym I can't knock out the last pok?mon.
It stays on just a small amount of HP no matter my attacks. And when the time runs out nothing happens.

When I close the app and want to fight again after the battle intro I get kicked into the main gym screen again.

Unfortunately this bug won't be an easy and quick fix. It's been a problem since the beta and we were hoping to have it solved by now, but it still hasn't.

it's a combination of the servers, and data lag, if you are on low quality signal or it changes from high to low it will drop out and get stuck.

This is what I've been told by other beta testers. I wouldn't expect a fix any time soon, the problem has been there for quite a while.

After all that work of obliterating a gym one should be rewarded with the spoils.

I'm sure it isnt connector because ive been using 4G only and its pretty stable. But well I cant even log in now so theres more pressing matters
