When I check my profile in game and open the envelope with the badges I do see their shape, but they all have the same colour... I thought that was normal, but now I've seen the following image:
    [PokeCommunity.com] Can't see badges... I think

And well, my badges don't look like that, they are all really grey-blueish with some coloured parts deep inside it... How come? Did something change after you completed something?

Alright, to solve your problem, you need to rub the rust from the badges with you pen, once in a while the shine will come off the badges.

wow.. that is the most.. stupid thing gamefreak ever came up with

    thanks though :)!

Its a tiny little feature they put in. Once they're clean they make a funky xylophone thingy :P

actually you can really put some elbow grease into it and make them shine with up to 4 glares

its not how long you rub them its how you rub them

No, it's how long you rub them. It takes ages to get maximum shine, and there's no way of speeding it up.

to get it faster, just rub the badge in little circles. Won't take that long ^^

It's easy to shine your badges quickly, when shining badges just make a tremor-like motion in your arm and it will be done very quickly.

This feature is basically just somethin for the little kids. The reason your badges are bluish-gray is because they're "dirty". When you tap them they make a xylaphone sound. The "dirtier" they are., the lower the note is they put out.
