Card Captor Sakura: The Enemies of Clow

"It's all right, Melin," she told her gently, smiling, though she felt terribly weak. "I'm glad you're here! I haven't seen you in a long time!"

She got to her feet shakily, and reduced her staff to the key she wore around her neck. With a sigh, she helped Syaroan to his feet as well, and looked towards the doors to the school.

"We should get back to class..." she said, making a face at the thought of math.

"I can't go to class... I'd have a hard time explaining these wounds to the teacher..." Syaroan went on," Are you going to come home with me Melin?"

"Y-yeah I guess so..."
Melin said standing up then turning to help Syaroan walk home.

"Take care then, Sakura..."
she smiled faintly.

Miyu waved at Meilin happily then turned to the still-slightly-worried Tomoyo. She and Yuki tried to reassure her but Tomoyo couldn't help but be worried for her best friend.

"Sakura-chan, don't you want to rest for a while?" Tomoyo asked as she neared her friend. "I can tell the teacher your excuse for not going to class." she offered.

Miyu, like Tomoyo, walked to Sakura and nodded at Tomoyo's offer. "She's right. You look a little tired."

Sakura watched Melin and Syaroan set off for their home, and for some reason, a reason she couldn't understand, she felt a pang of jealousy. It was very unlike her to feel that way, but she did, and it bothered her. She was so distracted that when Tomoyo said something, it made her jump.

"Hmm? Rest? Oh, I think I'll be okay, Tomoyo-chan," Sakura said with a small smile, slowly regaining her composure and usual attitude. "I'm sure I can make it through the rest of the day."

She smiled, her strength slowly returning.

"I bought it... last week."
she sighed.

"the sales man said he'd sell it cheep, because it wouldnt open."
she added looking at her feet, kicking a rock as she walked.

"so I bought it and just figuered I'de take the henges off the next day and then screw them back on, so I went to bed... but then that night... it was weired, it started glowing, red. So I woke up and walked over to it, the box was hot, it burned my hands when I touched it.."
she added looking at her bandeged palms.

"But it was weird... I couldnt put it down, it was like I was being controled, or somthing, but I could open it then, and I did..."
Melin muttered, kicking another rock.

" And after I opened it, everything felt weird, like time was hanging, I couldnt breath, I couldnt move, the room sudenly became windy, and I could hear a storm outside... and then... a woman, she came out of the box... It was like she was a spirit or something!"

"She held a blade agenst me neck and asked me where Clow Reed was. So I told her he was dead, she got mad and hit me, so I fainted... I'm sorry Syaroan-kun... thats all I can remember..."
she said softly, a worried look in her eyes.

"every thing just seems... fuzzy..."

"Okay then." Tomoyo said softly.

She walked Sakura to their classroom and asked Sakura to sit while she talked to their teacher. After their short talk and the teacher accepted their excuse. Tomoyo thanked him and sat down on her seat.

"Class, I would like to introduce you to your new classmate. Li Miyu." He said as she told Miyu to come in. "She's Syaoran's cousin." He explained.

Miyu was told sit on the empty desk behind Tomoyo and felt very glad she sat there.

Sakura smiled, suppressing the yawn she felt coming on. She was glad to be back in class, even if it was math. Anything, just as long as it was normal...

"Sakura-chan!" their teacher snapped suddenly, and Sakura's eyelids flew open. "Please, will you go up to the board and do this problem?"

"H-***e?" she blinked, and looked at the problem on the board. She practically fell out of her chair with anxiety.

She went up to the board, each step making her anxiety worse. She hated math, and now that she'd practically slept through the lesson...

PUtting the chalk up to the board, she stuck out her tongue in concentration, and tried to solve it. With a triumphant smile, she set down the chalk, and turned to their teacher.

"Er...well done, Sakura-chan..." their teacher said, looking rather puzzled. "But Yamazaki-san already solved that one...I meant the one next to it..."

Sakura turned to look at the board, and her face turned pink. Indeed, there were two problems on the board, and one of them had been solved twice.
