CARD GAMES OOC REDUX! TREMBLE IN FEAR AT THE SAUCE OF AWESOME!

Yeah, tributing Loli as a requirement pretty much kills the abuse because it means you'd have to shove a bunch of level 3 vanillas in your deck to abuse your dark world, and dark world isn't exactly teeming with extra deckspace to begin with. :3

And...she did not just summon Metalzoa! She did not! No! D: In any given scenario where you're not holding Limiter Removal to begin with, Zoa with Metalmorph equipped is already a better beatstick than Metalzoa. It's 2900 on the defensive, sure, but the only thing you really scare off with 3000 points but can't keep away with 2900 is Red Dragon Archfiend (not counting Judgment, since he can just judge away and kill just about anything so attack points don't really bother him at all; Blue-Eyes doesn't care about the tie because it was probably summoned with Swing to begin with, so it's going anyway), whereas on the offensive, Zoa with Metalmorph achieves equal or greater results against anything with attack power 200 and up, because Metalmorph boosts by half the target monster's attack in addition to the mandatory 300.

Also kind of not seeing the grand plan in using Pot of Avarice in a deck that wants easy eaccess to the lolis, seeing as how that's best achieved through repeated graveyard recursion (for which vanilla has a lot of tools). Guess you needed to replenish options after Rabbit's Hole, huh?

Loving the feel of the duel, though. Even with Metalzoa out there, I am kind of excited about how Michel's going to pull it off. :3

Hurray for fluke fix! x3

Uwah~ I see, I see. I just thought her summoning Metalzoa would be the most suiting in terms of symbolism/irony in that both of them are now mecha users. owo But I agree, vanilla Zoa + Metalmorph would have totally put Michel through his paces.

Good eye on the Avarice. xP I was basically grasping at straws to find a way to get more cards into Eri's hand. Didn't think about many other retrieval cards, since I initially wanted her to pull out a Pot of Greed. But since it's been ban-hammered, I'll look into other options.

I didn't want the duel to go on too long, since I'm still quite interested in this whole Duelist Kingdom detour we're about to undertake but I at least wanted to get in a small comeback from the Shadow Duelist to make things interesting and so that Michel can teach Sarasi a thing or two about what's real and what's not. >P

Yeah, I know it's good from a symbolical standpoint; it's just my inner card game prick who won't stand for that sort of thing. XD

(And besides, with all the randomness I've pulled throughout these duels...XD)

As for putting more cards out there...well, Morphing Jar is always a keeper, though a bit slow-paced. Heart of the Underdog is another one, though you only get one spell or trap that way. Oh, and Common Charity works with her vanillas, though since it removes from play it's arguably just as contradictory to the theme as Avarice, if not even moreso. xP

Oh, and I finally got to spring Tacey's little scheme from way back in the first ICs. Yay. ^0^

Oi, very funny. You've got your payback now, so we're even.

But Sarasi does have reason to be freaking out and all, having barely survived his last encounter with Shadow Duelists. He still doesn't even get why, so naturally he'll be a little...freaked to run into them again so soon. Especially considering his normal reaction to stuff that goes off the violence scale.

Of course, it cou

Kuso's reaction is fine, Michel's just a prick in general.

So it's nothing personal, Michel's just a hard ass when it comes to things like magic and Shadow Realm-y powers. He just doesn't believe in things that don't seem logical (although he is playing a kid's card game so I don't know how credible his thoughts really are anyway). xP

Expect summation of duel IC later tonight. If not, then tomorrow and so on. Then it's just Thesis' epic duel between Kuroda and Koji before we're off to DK. 83

So that's why you promoted the idea of Michel dueling AE. >O I was wondering when Tacey's little bug would take effect. :3

Actually, I just wanted to see you try your hand at dueling again. *Saintly smile* The whole subplot thing was just a nice extra. XD

Anyways, that duel was creepy cool (minus the random shadow game stipulation) and by the looks of it, there's more trouble heading Michel's way, eh? AE heartily approves. ^^

And with that fun little face-off, I think I've found a bit of enthusiasm for writing out card games again. Hehe, expect a duel shortly...though not necessarily one involving Tacey. <3

EDITNESS: As I was saying. XD I originally envisioned this character as female, but then I figured we had enough antagonists on that front already so I decided to strike a blow for gender equality instead. Guess this guy's deck theme before my next post and win a cookie. :3

BLACK ROSE DRAGON OR GIGAPLANT!!!111!!!!111!!!

Do I win my cookie now?

Yeah, meant to finish the duel yesterday, but I just can't seem to get enough time to finish the post because I'm at the beach right now, so wi-fi isn't a one-hundred-percent certainty. Thankfully, there are like, eight different networks I can connect to, and hopefully the signal doesn't fade out on all eight at the same time. So I should be able to finish the duel and get us en route to Duelist Kingdom, probably by the end of today.

Gomen gomen~ I avoided letting Michel get caught by switching duel disks last time but I couldn't do that again. xP

Trouble loves Michel, more than he'd like of course but I'm glad I got to write that, it let me set up a little bug of my own. Although you can probably guess what's going to happen considering Eri just blurted it out at the end there. xD /vague semi-teaser

Oh, oh! I'm guess Gigaplant too. It'd be nice to see some plant action for a change. :3 And hooray for progression. *sits at computer and waits*

EDIT: Speak of the saint, Thesis just posted! I like your reasoning behind the Shadow Duelists, since it fluke fits with what I did with Eri. 8D *goes back to reading*

Well, guys, the results of the competition have finally come in, and according to these, you two are...

DEAD WRONG. Nope, sorry. Incorrect input. We do not have a winner. *Eats cookie IN FRONT OF YOU and laughs, meanly*

Yes, Angelo does love his flowers, but that doesn't mean he'll build his entire deck around them. Besides, Thesis, you should know that I don't hock star monsters from anime characters. Though I'll admit that the Dark Garden field spell was looking very, VERY tempting. Oh, and there is a distinctly floral card in his deck, but that one will only surface later on. ;D

But yeah, the theme of choice is reapers, ladies and gentlemen. Most of the cards featured thus far are located in the YMtC, but concerning the modified stand-ins and the pair of not-released stuffers...(And Thesis said I could do those for my NPCs, so hah!)

Betrayal Sword
Equip Spell

A monster equipped with this card can not be offered as Tribute for a Tribute Summon and has its Atk increased by 2000. All Battle Damage inflicted by the equipped Monster is inflicted to both players. At the End Phase of a turn when the Monster equipped with this card inflicted Battle Damage, control of the equipped Monster is switched.

Dying Curse
Normal Trap

This card can only be activated when a Monster you control is destroyed by Battle. Discard a number of cards from the top of your opponent's Deck equal to the Level of the Monster that destroyed your Monster. If this card is destroyed as the result of a card effect your opponent controls, discard two cards from the top of your opponent's Deck.

Reaper's Toll (modified version of Reaper Cry)
Normal Spell

This card can only be activated on a turn when a card(s) was sent to your opponent's Graveyard by the effect of a "Reaper" Monster. Inflict 200 Damage to your opponent for each card that was sent to their Graveyard this turn.

Reaper Call
Quick-Play Spell

This card can only be activated on a turn when a card(s) was sent to your opponent's Graveyard by the effect of a "Reaper" Monster. Special Summon one "Reaper" Monster from your Deck or Graveyard whose Level is equal to half the number of cards sent to your opponent's Graveyard this turn or less.

Oh, and Aether Vanguard is just Fairy Life with a spiffy new name. :3 Conclusion for the duel to come in my next post, win a consolidation cookie by guessing the outcome and another if you guess the finisher card. XD

EDIT: And I wrote in a little something for Tacey in that last post, and finally remembered Manjoume too. *Sweatdrop* Losing track of things? Me? Never. XD

Manjoume who? xD And Tacey has hidden seduction powers~! She's quite literally become the most dangerous card game player in Duel Monsters' history.

And here I was hoping to see Angelo beat Haruko into oblivion. That would have been quite the treat but I suppose they're both to be deliciously exploitable in the near-not-so-near future?

Hooray for progress. I'm quite looking forward to Duelist Kingdom, the possibility of Kuso's first duel among other personal spoilers are tickling me raw, not to mention the revelation of Pegasus' motives. 8D

And damn thy banlist. *goes to adjust Michel's deck*

...Strange, I thought there was a Premature Burial in that deck somewhere. Looks like I don't have to edit it, after all.

...But, y'know, Phani-bunny's ([/swipe]) recent post made me wonder about something: are Judai & Manjoume free game as far as puppeting or not?

Eh, not really, since Judai is mine and Manjoume is already claimed.

But it depends on what you mean by "puppeting", I suppose.

Well now, keep in mind that if we trust Tacey's assessment of her own abilities then there's basically nothing she can't do. But hey, she does make a career out of being something of a dueling lolita, so...XD

And yes, both shall be exploited in the future. I couldn't bring myself to kill Haruko before her aether fairies got to shine for real (not to mention that I need her to clarify the whole backstory with her and Serge), and I obviously couldn't kill off my beloved prettyboy psycopath shadow duelist so soon after making him. <3

Oh, and Icha...I'd totally slap a nickname on you for stealing that one, but the first one that comes to mind keeps pronouncing itself as either 'itchy' or 'icky' in my head, so I guess I'll have to ponder on it for a while more. XD As far as I'm concerned, you're also quite free to play around with Manjoume; I don't have any particular plans for him so...

"Ichi," right? Been there, done that.

Oh, it wasn't anything really specific. It just affected exactly how I type the next IC.

Anything that keeps me from having to rack my mind over what to do with that guy is good for me.

And...so I figured, actually. You'll just have to settle for Peeko for the time being, even though that sounds somewhat like 'Peek-O' in my mind. XD

Oh, and Tacey's doing a deck switch because the current build is anything but proactive, making it a bother to write the future duels I have in mind out. Change will occur once she gets her hands on the new royals. :3

Unfortunately, Peeko (or rather a slight modification thereof) is already taken, too.

Actually, I really wasn't planning anything major with him. I just needed to be able to add in at least one reaction to Kuso's outburst in my latest IC which took all day to write, somehow, or else end it abruptly right after said outburst, which would have gotten us nowhere as far as the plot.

I may or may not take advantage of this in the future, though.

Rawr! So many nicknames. <3

Anywho~ Michel's new deck list. Call of the Haunted among a few others exchanged and added Monster Reborn! Didn't realise it was actually limited instead of forbidden. *shot*

Spoiler:

I like Kuso's personality, we've needed an introvert on the team for a long time now. xP And I tried to keep Michel's perspective as un-bunnying as possible, since it is all a matter of perspective. Of course, that's all about to change soon enough. >D

EDIT: I was going to add an IC Michel post but I'll probably wait until we land before I do. So for now, some lighthearted filler. :3

EDIT: Adding the descriptions of the cards in case any of you forgot their wonderful effects (shame on you if you did >P).

Actually, he's normally more of an extravert (something about the way that's spelled doesn't look right...). He's only an "introvert" at the moment because of what happened.

And th

Effect: If you control this face-up card on the field, during the next Main Phase of the turn after summoning this card, you can Special Summon 1 "Armored Core" monster or "Corrupted Core" monster from your hand by Tributing this card.

Corrupted core, you say? I smell a deck-change after all. XD

Speaking of which...might as well get a head start on Tace's new one. Obviously not be obtained until we get further into the plot. :3

Those look painful. ~~

And gosh, such sharp eyes you have. xP But yes, deck change to come when Michel's winning streak finally comes to an end. Or will it? >D ...Yeah it will.

But that won't happen for a while, not until I let Thesis in on the down low with what I'm planning. *cheshire cat smile* On that note, Thesis, remind me to talk to you about what I'm planning, since I'll most likely need your imperial approval for pulling it off. xP

EDIT: Edited IC post. Couldn't help it. xP Exams and assignments coming up so I thought I'd squeeze in another post before next week.
