I just posted to the card value thread, but I have some further questions than that and thought it might be good to start my own thread.
I just received back from PSA grading three 1st Edition Shining Charizard cards I collected as a kid. To my absolute astonishment, two graded a 10, and the third a 9.
I have no experience buying or selling Pokémon cards. Looking at recent eBay sales, the 10's are auctioning at $14K+, and $7-9K, but these all seem to be from an established auction house (PWCC).
Can I expect to get this kind of money as a private party, or would it be worth partnering with an auction house? Are these selling prices even legit? What would you do in my shoes as a seller? Auction, or aim high with an inflated buy it now and accept offers?
